OK, I'm on the budget here. Ultimately I'd like to get 5 lug conversion with discs in the rear, but I don't have time or money right now. So I'm either looking for a mild aftermarket upgrade, or cheapest way possible, keep in mind that I work in a tire shop and we get a pretty good discout on all auto parts. I know for sure I need new drums. If I can't resurface the rotors, I'll need those as well. How much difference will I notice if I go with slotted ones? I'm looking for sugestions and opinions as far as drums, rotors and pads. Let me know what you guys run, use, had experience with and ballpark $$$. Thanks in advance, Phil

I bought a brake kit from Brother's Performance. It had powerslot rotors, FMS 73mm calipers, russell stainless steel brake line kit and hawk brake pads. There are some other ting that came with it. it runs about 500 dollars. Here is the link: http://www.brothersperformance.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/1_10_728/products_id/1440. As far as stopping power, easy on the pedal because this kit can lock up the wheels very quick. I love this kit. I was going down a two laned highway and some idiot pulls out across the highway into my lane (a little hyundai) so I hit those brakes and man, thank god for those brakes, or I would have been getting another mustang! Just so you know, I have skinny's up front too.

See http://www.svo73mm.cjb.net/ for budget brake upgrades. Best Mustang brake site on the web. Follow Matt's advice & you will have excellent brakes at an inexpensive price.
I knew I could count on you pointing me to that site. I checked it out before I posted this thread, very useful and most likely the way for me. I just wanted to know what other setups people run and how they like it. Anyone has any comments on EBC Greenstuff and Hawk pads?

Well, I'm on a very tight budget. I considered getting Hawk pads, shoes and MM stainless steel caliper sleeves. With shipping it was $164. Since I only use my car as DD at this time, I went with Wagner ThermoQuiet. I paid 53 bucks and going to get the sleeves from MM. Thanks for all the input.
