About to purchase cams

I am really leaning towards VT stage II N/A cams right now. Only plans left for my car is 100-150 shot of nitrous, gears and rear end. Just looking for any advice anybody has before I order them. Anybody with VT stage II N/A cams any info/review/problems would be greatly appreciated. I live in AZ so summer time can definitely get a bit hot here you think I will have any cooling issues? Thanks in advance.

Any other cams compare to VT and pricewise and availability?? I might be getting a job in construction which equals starting at 18 an hour and im 20..so got lots of money MAYBE..was thinking of doing some LTs and midpipe then demolet intake and some gears...maybe cams down road...but if i did wanna get blown would any mods really stop me from it??

arazona omg i was in tucson for a month bro and almost dieded lol but i like the stay love to move there someday. I am in the same boat comp cams have been around for some time and have a good name to back them up i may go to the stage one since VTare hard to get but i think it will be OK.

JATM963, I don't think any moderator around here is gonna stop you from getting your game on, but if you get an N/A cam and then decide to get a supercharger down the road, it won't mix well. You can get blower cams and run them N/A before your sc.

Crower and CompCams offer cams that are comparable to VT racing. CompCams are more readily available than the VT cams too.

If you want to get blown down the road, I'd build your car up to it. What I mean by that is get blower cams, maybe port and polish your heads, LT's all that stuff if you got the money. The reason I say that is it will take full advantage of the forced induction.

As for the first question in the forum, the only thing I'd do first is get the gears. You'll probably suffer from less driveability issues like stumbling at low RPM's if you do. Good luck man.

I'm thinking some 3.73 gears..good jump from stock and even IF blower never comes then I can still have some more fun driving N/A....What are some good blower cams and will I see same gains as regular comp or vt cams??

When VT finally gets there supply back in order I will be swapping my Patriot Stage 2's for VT. I just like the LSA on the VT's. No other reason lol.

You are in luck as we have them back in stock!! I finally have my supply under control. We shouldn't have anymore backorders like we had any more. Stage 2 N/A's are in stock now and Stage 1 N/A and Blowers will be ready mid next week.

You will be find,no driveability issues, they can be used on a daily driven stang with ZERO issues.Only issue you might have is gas miliage....do to the fact you probably wont keep your foot off the gas,or you're gonna just sit there to listen to your stang idle :p .Make sure to up grade the valve springs, and get a tune as soon as you can. :nice: Then enjoy how sweet your steed will sound. :hail2: I know i do. :D
