Well i would just like to share my experience with this setup... Ive had the MAC Axle Back Exhaust on for about 3 weeks (was my first mod) and just had the Pype O/R H-Pipe put on and OMFG! I love the sound and there is hardly any rasp and what little there is is drowned out by what sounds like a V20 engine:D :D This setup is loud though as my mechanic said he could hear every shift from about 1/4 mile away as i took it for a test drive... :nice:

I've got the same setup. Before this it was a catless x pipe with the MACs, and that was about 6 times louder than with the H pipe, but man was it ever raspy! But goodness, when it was not raspy, it sounded meeaan. But the raspiness won. The H is a lot deeper, but I am getting ready to install some Hooker LTs as soon as they arrive, and hopefully that will help with the loudness:D

Stedastang06 how do you like the Hurst? Thinking of getting one next week, the only problem I had with my last one on a 98 Z28 was the white knob rattled under hard aceleration, couldnt get the damn thing tight enough. To me that would be my only draw back.

IMHO the shifts feel 90% shorter... I LOVE IT, except for 4th gear... its a pain to shift into and out of... other than that it shifts very nice and it "forces" you to power shift which i like to do.. i would definetely recommend it.. I had a 97 Stang with a Steeda Tri-ax shifter and this thing blows it out of the water...

a few days after the install now and i have a rattling noise coming from the tailpipes somewhere.. took it back to the mechanic and they extensively looked at and tested all the connections and areas and found nothing.. i guess its just so much exhaust it makes the mufflers rattle..

Yeah, I'm going to be putting on my O/R h-pipe in about a week to go along with my SLPs. I think I'll love the sound, but my neighbors might not, so my old JBA mufflers might be going on so it's good to hear that others have done it and it sounds good.

How loud would you say it is?
