How the hell do I get to the plugs

How do you change plugs in a 4.6? Gota take the rails off and probably the tb. What happens when I take off the rails? Will fuel spurt out everywhere?

I don't think you have to take the rails off. I think you can remove the screw in the COP that's on the plug, then move it around enough to get the plug out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

No need to remove the fuel rail its easy to do..Just take your time..

rail and TB stays put. you have to remove the intake hose though. if you have a 99+ you have to take off the COPs, 96-98 you just pull out all the plug wires, they only go back in 1 way.

Um just by taking the cops off, how does that gain me access to the plug way down in the block...no way i can get a rachet in there, I'll take a look again though.

Trust me it can be done its not all that hard..Its alot easyer doing a tune up on the stang then a ls1 or lt1.

either buy a really deep spark plug socket from Snap-On or MATCO, or else to go harbor freight and look for the spark plug socket with a 8" swivel extension permanently attached to it. i have both, both work equally as well. i have mine down to about 15-20 minutes for swapping plugs.

Use a long extension for your ratchet driver and put some duct tape over your socket and the extension so you don't leave your socket in the hole.
