I haven't been able to get this to download for me, it's been sitting for the better part of the day on connecting...

Yeah, it look like the demand has far outstripped my bandwidth! I'll see if I can post it on a public domain site instead....

Those are nice. Where did you get them and what are they?
I am so torn as to which wheels to use. Don't want to be like all the others you see out there but I think I would like 17" although I have been looking at the old GT wheels from the 67 but in a 15/8 and 15/7 combo. I just like them.

Thank you. They are Billet Specialties FastLane 17x8, 4.75" backspace.
I feel the same way you do about it. I want something different but still classic. Check out www.newstalgiawheel.com :)

Very nice!! Did you lower the rear with anything other than the mid eye leafs? Any lowering blocks?

Nope, just mid-eye leafs. I'm going to cut the front springs this weekend to lower the front 1.5 - 2", then I think the stance will be right.

Hey hey. Those were the ones I was going to order. They are really nice! I still have not been able to mount my Street Stars. Did you need longer wheel studs? I know I need to and mine are the exact same specs.

Didn't need longer studs...in fact, I had cut my studs to fit the wheel adapters I was using, but they still fit just fine. I thought I was going to have to have new studs pressed in but it wasn't the case.

I can't say enough about Billet Specialties...the wheels are better than I expected and arrived 2 weeks early!

i really like that you dont have chrome bumpers or the chrome kick panel going along the side of the car. i will be getting rid of them soon i think. i think every thing about your car is bad ass, sounds good too l8er

That's funny you should mention the chrome rocker trim on the side of the car - my wife and I have been debating that for a month now. I initially had no intention of putting it on, but my wife has been making some headway in convincing me that it looks 'unfinished' without it.

Still not sure what i'm going to do, but it's nice to hear someone else out there shares my opinion :D

Thanks :nice:

That's a sweet ride...and one of the looks I was thinking about going after in my possible search for a Classic.

I just had to tell you how awesome that machine looks.

Thanks very much :D It's funny how some people understand that look I'm after and others just don't get it. I entered a car show a few weeks ago and didn't even place. The guy that won the "Muscle Car" class was a totally stock putrid green (non-hemi) 'Cuda. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder :D

I'm with you...this is why I don't want a perfect Classic. I want something that's in pretty good shape and drivable, but not to the point of perfect...I wouldn't want to change anything then. I like tastefully modifying cars, meaning nothing too crazy, but still making it mean.

Actually, after checking your website, your story happens to follow the same path that I'm envisioning for myself. Of course, I'd do things to fit my tastes.

I was getting ready to do some major mods to my current '00 GT, but I've been bitten by the "Classic" bug again and want to do what you're doing. Foos on Overhaulin' tends to go too far for my tastes, but you're right there.

Awesome!

Great minds think alike :rlaugh: I agree most of Foose's stuff is a little too much, especially in wheel selection - he always goes for the 20's which are too big IMHO.

I want my car to look classic yet different...That's why I didn't go to white faced gauges - I want it to look and feel like a Mustang and you lose some of that when you go to Modern gauges.

Good luck on your project - are you going to do a coupe, fastback, or convertible? What years are you looking at?
