auto to manual clutch ****

What a ****ing pain in the balls. Why is there so muchs **** under dash. I cant get the lower right nut off. Well i can. But its taking me fore ****ing ever. I should ahve it out tomorrow though. Anyway Would it be better to run an adjustable or non adjustable clutch cable? Is a summit clutch fork ok? What about a clutch? I plan on getting all the boltons minus H/C this summer. After that I plan on going with FI 357W and a TKO 5/600. So my question is what is something(clutch, clutch cable) that will hold up to a few bolt ons and a good piss beating? thanks guys.

I suggest an adjustable cable along with an alum quadrant, put them on with the pedals out of the car. much easier.

with the adj cable your actually changing the length of the cable rather than just putting pressure on it with a FWA, just seems better to me IMO

if your going to use stock clutches and only stock clutchs u can get by with the stock self adjusting setup. But once u start using the KC it will eat that stock quadrant up eventually.

well i would reuse everything for the "driving season;)" but it looks like theres a **** load of oil and grit inside the bellhousing. I would reuse the cable too, but it seems all ****ed up. Like I said I plan on changing the whole manual tranny to something stronger, this winter.

i wouldnt recommend an adjustable cable...go with an oem ford cable and firewall adjuster. its 100 times easier to adjust and the cables are better quality

See thats what I thought I read somewhere else. It might have been corral. Would it be ok to run a summit fork or should I go with a ford one?

Gearwrenches are your best friend for that bottom nut. That is what I used to remove some 5-speed pedals.

heh i got it off. i got a new throw out bearing and rear main seal. I went to my ford dealer to get a new non adjustable clutch cable, fork and quadrant I think it was 100 total for the ford parts. Is that a good deal? Then the rear main seal and throw out bearing was a total of about 30 bucks. If there is play in my throw out bearing as in it doesnt stay centered, you can pop it back and forth... can that be the reason my clutch isnt fully disengaging?
