Has anyone else had a problem with kinking on new door weatherstrip on the top rear most corner where the sharp bend is?

Yep, it's expected as inside the weatherstripping is a metal belt.
Just fit it in there as tight as possible and when you bolt up the interior panels it'll hold it tight and won't get loose.
So.................since you installed it, been having any problems getting your door closed??????????? LOL
You'll have to close the door a little harder for the next couple of months until the rubber get's worked in.
