Anybody see the new Horsepower episode today?

clean notch.. but considering the fact, the money they spent on the car which was 1400 and went from 191-223 hp.. i'd think most of us could get more out of it than what they did.. the tube wasn't necessary by any means and the underdrives could have been spent better elsewhere

Yea - but they still made it seem that you can't do much with a 5.0. I know if I didn't know anything about our cars and I saw that episode, I would think our cars are worthless. Come on - they added 100HP NOS kit to a Camaro on the episode before.

well they showed the little you do have to do to it.. it may have been in alot of peoples eyes as expensive etc.. but the little things they did to it gained 32 hp.. thats a sotp noticeable difference

yea a couple of weeks ago they threw a prochrager on an ls1 SS and made almost 500hp. But i do recall them doing a 347 stroker in a teal fox hatch a couple of months ago, but i dont remember the dyno numbers. But 1500 on just that stuff.. i dont no where they went shopping at lol, they shoulda went to summit. Im sure they could have gotten alot more with that much

Yea, I don't think many of us would be happy with 220rwhp, but it is good to see the actual gains made by the individual upgrades. Also will probably allow a h/c/i to produce more gains. Also, where do you find a stock mustang these days? I didn't think there were any left...

Didn't they say something about them only doing bolt-ons?

Idk, but if it was me, I would have replaced the intake, cam, and exhaust and got more power for the same price or a little less.

I think the 70mm T/B was too big for stock and thought they should have used a 65mm, and if I recall they did not put it back on the Dyno AFTER he Bumped the timing so I am willing to bet it put a few more HP down.

I was thinking the same thing when they said 70mm TB. Way too big for a basically stock engine.

Yeah I was kinda pissed that they didn't dyno after bumping the timing. I wanted to know how much they would pick up from that.

I thought I was right that they didnt stick it back on the dyno after they bumped the timing, I know that had to bump the HP up, I would also like to see them drop it down to a 65mm T/B too. When they put an Optima Baterry in they aimed the terminals towards the drivers side fender, is that normal?

I was rather disapointed with the episode. I want them to do some serious upgrades to the car. I know they said it was going to be on a budget but I want more. I have the horsepower bug and it isn't even my car.

I thought they did a good job for just getting started on the project. They netted almost 30HP without taking the engine off. I would have liked to see them swap out the mechanical cooling fan though... Then that car would have had all of the upgrades that mine does.

70mm TB = Blower????

Completely worthless television show. The only things you'll see on that show are the products that those two yahoos are required to sell for the week. God forbid, either of them get their hands dirty or anything. Might as well be watching an infomercial for vacuum cleaners.

:Word:

Yall are forgetting, the went almost $200 over their $1400 budget.

Take another stock stang and put half of that budget into suspension and kick that cars arse.

Those two guys sound like everything they say is written for a childrens book and they haven't got a clue what the books about.

I can find out if they are doing anything else with that car or if it's done. They really just wasted the production companies money with what the've done so far.
