I just did my entire truck with it and it looks great, but my entire truck feels rough...everywhere.. I called to ask about it and of course the meg. Reo said I must have had contaminants on it before I waxed, but I really dont think so. I have never had anything this weird happen before.

I always use Eagle One Wax as you dry when I wash the truck and its never felt rough all over. I cant see anything on it at all.

Has anyone had problems with this product?

thats good to know but

The same one I always use. Its an old towel that I only use for waxing. I have used it on my Mustang all the time.

I hope something was on my truck before, but how it got everywhere baffles me...and how I didnt notice it when I dried my truck off at the car wash before coming home to wax.

It's very posible your applicator was contaminated or some one screwed with the NXT at the store. I would strip the paint of any wax/sealant and claybar the car, then put a coat of NXT using a clean applicator. Do one section and allow to cure, then buff off using a clean microfiber towel. If the sandy texture occurs again the NXT is no good for what ever reason.

Yeah, I've used NXT on my truck & Mustang before with no problems. I switched back to the Gold Class after the reformulation though, at least for the stang-I think it's "deeper" looking. I would say use a paint cleaner, then claybar-then try again in a small spot. I'd bet there was something on your truck already. And I aree with the PP who said use microfiber-what a difference between that and terry!!

I use it on my mach 1 all the time!
Its not much of a wax for show but its
a great protectent.. Perfect for bugs.
I would wash your truck and clay bar it.
Make sure you keep everything clean.
you might need to use wax remover.

Also somthing to remember:
When u wash after waxing dont use to much soap.
read how much you should use on the bottle..
It will strip the wax you put on..

I didn't like it either. Was difficult to remove and left a crappy shine. I'll stick with Klasse AIO and P21S carnuba, or Zymol.

I have heard that NXT is very color dependent -- that is, it looks much better on some colors, not as good on others.

The thing about Meguiar's NXT is that it is more of a sealant wax. I use NXT at the end of a 4 step process with my cars.

1. Clay
2. Polish
3. Cleanser
4. Sealant Wax

I use a blue Clay Magic bar that can be found at Pep Boys for $9.99 to get
out all the contaminants

I then move on with a Meguiars #82 Swirl Free Polish, this gives the sirface a squeaky clean feeling instead of a smooth soft luster (that will come later)

Then I use S100 Shine Enhancing Cleanser that can be found at local Harley Davidson dealers, this is mainly advertised to motorcycle owners, but damn, it works great on cars.

I finish up with the NXT, leaving it on the surface for 15 minutes to allow the sealing process to complete.

This process is done every season to maintain my paint.

I just used NXT for the first time on my '99 Atlantic Blue GT. I personally thought it was the easiest wax to put on and take off that I have ever used. Very little residue also. It also gives an extremely mirror like shine that I haven't noticed before. I have heard it doesn't last long, but right now the paint is extremely smooth and we'll see how durable it is. Just my experience with it. So far, I think its a good product.

I used the NXt on an Inferno red Pt crusier and thought it was the best shine and deepest shine I had ever had.Used it on my Pewter colored 02 gt and thought it did good but not quiet as deep looking. I used clay bar before each.So maybe the wax is sort of "color dependent".
