carbon hood & radio question

Anybody install a carbon hood? Just wondering how fit and finish, etc.

I dont have a manual, wondering if sirius satalite can be hardwired into it? If not any recomendations for aftermarket...any downsides?

Yes, I got the Starmate receiver and it's hooked up through an FM modulator. You can't directly hardwire Sirius.

I know, it sucks.

I have an APC Carbon Fiber Hood. Fit and Finish is perfect and the hood looks exceptional. I'm selling it to purchase a cowl hood.

I heard that you can. But you have to an adapter. It's called a P.I.E. adapter. It allows you to use the AUX button on the stock radio.

Also, you say it's hooked up with an FM Modulator. Did you use an actual wire or did you use the stock modulator that uses a clear radio frequency?

how does the fm mosulator work. currently i have the sirius unit sending a signal to pre set station 89.9 but because my commute is long i tend to get interference form stations on said station (& others too) as their signal gets stronger, etc.

that is an FM modulator. you should be able to switch the channel that it goes to so you can minimize interference.
