New GT

I just picked up a new 06' GT yesterday, and had a couple of questions

I'm looking for an officially licensed Mustang dashmat. I checked the fordaccessories website, and the dashmat official site, but neither has one with the mustang logo. Do any of you know where I can them?

I'm also looking at window tinting. I think I know the answer to this, but I thought I'd ask just to be sure. My tinter insists the windows can't move for 3 days to a week after the tint is put on. However, on the new GT, the windows move up and down slightly as the doors close. Will this cause an issue with the tinting, and if so, is there anything I can do about it?

Nice GT! Your definitly going to have a lot of fun with that car! Not sure about the dashmat but I had my windows tinted recently and theres nothing you can do about the windows moving slightly up and down when you open and shut the door unless you just dont drive it. But after I had my tint put on it didnt hurt anything or mess up the tint. I would also reccomend getting a hp tint or a tint that is highly reflective as to keep UV rays from messing up your interior. :nice:

make sure to ask about moleskin, or something similar to help prevent scratches when the window goes all the way up/down. many people (including me) have had scratches in the tint from inside the door. they are in the same spots on both doors, so it is not dirt causing the scratches. do a search for tint or moleskin and several threads should have more info for you.

My local Ford dealer has a good tinter. I had him do my last Mustang, but he's extremely adamant about the windows not moving. I'll just talk with him on Monday. I doubt they move enough to bother anything.

She's a great car once I learn how to drive standard. I stall out quite a bit, but I figure after about a week, I'll be golden.

the window dropping when you open it wont hurt anything, but after a while it may get scratched from normal use. trust me, at least ask about the moleskin....

I'll be in the same boat once my 07 comes in. Been a long time since i've driven a stick so it should be interesting when i go to pick it up :)
