I have on reserved for this coming saturday...i've been calling the boston logan airport hertz a few times a week now for a few weeks...they finally had them available the other day (i made them read to me "shelby mustang gt-h" off their computer a few times just to make sure i wasn't getting a regular GT---then i called back to check with somebody else, had them read to me "shelby mustang gt-h" off their computer---just want to make sure i'm gettin a shelby!!)...so i got one for this coming weekend...and one for my wedding day----my fiance/wife will be leaving the church in a shelby mustang! (can't wait to do a burnout in the church parking lot)

I have one reserved June 1st to June 4th at the Hertz Location at the SF airport. I got the 350-H at $53 a day. I tried to get one reserved for this month but they were booked. I will post photos.

I just double checked a few things because I noticed the price is now over a hundred dollars a day. I made sure I was locked in at the price of $53 a day. She told me that as long as I got a confirmation # at that price I was quoted it is what I will pay. I made the reservation in April.

make sure that you are getting the shelby and not a regular gt at $53...i've been calling a few times a week for the past few weeks and the hertz people told me that the car wasn't even in the system so there was no way i could even rent one in the future....i wasnt able to get one rented until last friday...i did have a guy try to give me a regular gt once because he didnt know what the shelby even was ( and i'm sure he didnt care...and even the girl who rented the gt-h to me the other day said to me " i dont know what the 'h' stands for....)

but hey i hope you did get one for $53...mine is gonna cost me $174 for just one day.....

I logged in with my comfirmation number to double check and it has the info for the 350-H and the price as well. I think I may have gotten lucky on the price. When I initially called to reserve the woman knew what I was talking about and she said they were booked from mid-May on and did not have one available until June 1st so I took it. Maybe they did not have the price hammered out when I called who knows.
If you go onto the hertz site now they have the 350h in the fun packages. It wasn't like that in April when the reservation was made.

i'm doing it just because i can. i figure i wasnt around to rent one the first time around, so i might as well rent one now. besides, this is probably going to be the only chance i'm going to have for a long time to actually drive a mustang with the shelby name attached to it.

Thats pretty much the same reason I'm renting the Shelby too. Hopefully when I get the sucker it still has some tread on the tires. :)

"Added "Go"
Ford Racing Performance Group is supplying its popular Power Pack (FR1) to add a genuine 25-horsepower Ford performance kick to the 300-horse Mustang GT 4.6L V-8/Five-speed automatic transmission powertrain and an increase of 10 lb.-ft. of torque. The package includes Ford Racing’s 90mm Cold Air kit, the Muffler Kit, a new X-pipe similar to the one used on the new Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang, a performance calibration and a cat-back performance exhaust for that throaty sound that will make this car unmistakably a Shelby Mustang GT-H"

from that article. some one please take that thing to a strip and see what it will run. now im interested in getting my hands on one as well.

Where have you been 66Satellite?
Haven't seen you post here in a long time.

I thought you abandoned us and was going to get a Challenger.

No, Challenger still seems big and expensive and far away. Still planning to get a S197 one of these days...

Sent you a PM.
