Experience with one-piece driveshafts?

All you have to do is get it. There is no reason for any more questions about it. Your drivetrain will lighten up substantially. We raced a guy with a Kenny bell blower and nearly the same hp, same gears only he had a stock shaft and a steel flywheel. The guy's car had QA1 high end shocks, control arms, and other suspension work. We consistantly killed his 60 ft times all day with nothing more than Steeda springs on my car for suspension mods. All because of the lighter rotating mass.

Anthony, I think you know that questions are always valid, and I'm going to keep on asking them. You can ask questions too.

You have had great experience with one and only one type of aftermarket driveshaft. There is no reason not to ask about the experience of others, is there? Maybe I'm missing something.

fin1 has a Powerhouse shaft and is happy with it. That's good information to know, and that is my reason for asking the question (my only reason by the way).

My reason for posting on this forum and the Corral is that I have the impression that not many people have these lightweight driveshafts. Getting information from others is what these forums are all about. In fact, the first question I asked about driveshafts produced a response from someone who had bent theirs. I think that was a good question that gave us some information that I didn't know about, maybe others might have been interested also.

Best regards from a guy who is just trying to get the best parts for his baby, not trying to start any arguments.

Damn bro, take it easy! All throughout the history of performance upgrades it's widely known that going from a POS 2 piece steel shaft with a carrier bearing wedged in the center to an aftermarket aluminum piece (balanced) is a great experience no matter how you look at it. Unless of course your grandma made it for you. If you are waiting for some bad news about an aluminum or carbon fiber piece then here it is......they are expensive as hell. I was going to hook you up with a better price until you bailed on me.
 
That's right. They are a little lighter and cost more. After installing the aluminum piece, I didn't notice any vibration at all, but did notice a huge increase in giddy up along with the aluminum flywheel. I think the aluminum dropped 31 lbs. in weight. (driveshaft alone)
 
I have purchased the Powerhouse aluminum shaft.
I am installing it tomorrow. I wanted this shaft because it is a direct blot-in. Some aftermarket shafts and Ranger conversions require you to change the pinion flange. This requires the rear-end pinion pre-load to be setup again.
Powerhouse shaft uses factory Mustang flange.
 
i read somewhere, that even though the BMR carbon fiber was lighter then the aluminum, it would not produce the same power gains. this is because for it to be very strong, it has to be thicker than the aluminum one, and this creates more rotating mass. so even though its lighter you will see less gains from it. is this correct?
