It's so hard trying to find a good set of replacement quarter windows and molding for fox coupes! I've only seen moldings that glue onto the existing ones and I haven't seen any on ebay. Is this part no longer made anymore or can I still get this at the dealer (probably for an arm and a leg!)?

take your car to a body shop they will sand down yours and build them up with some compound (like bondo). then they will sand and paint it will look perfect :nice:

I ended up buying the quarter window moldings from steeda..

They arent that noticable when you look at them in person..I dont think one person has mentioned them when at some shows. Much easier to deal with then taking the car apart to get the windows out...

I have them on mine too. A body shop saw them but all he said was they look much better than most of the one's he has seen. I don't think he knew they were covers untill I told him.

People say they fly off, thats never happened. I did learn that it doesn't really take a lot of the silicone adhesive to get them stuck on.

All I know is they are like $100 a pair and sure made it look better than scuffed up moldings from the weather. Ideally I would love to have them replaced to stock appearance, but I don't think that will be happening unless I get to the point of a full paint job and restoration. This will only happen if I can leave it in the garage 99% of the time to prevent it happening again.

I got mine from Steeda, who by the way stands behind their products. I had one that started to crack and they replaced it for free ( had to pay shipping).

the coupe quarters are no longer available from 5.0 Resto. I found one (brand new) on ebay a month or two ago. The guy that had it bought out a glass shop's stock, but only had the one. He said they would be like $700 each if you could find them. Dugan Racing will refurb yours for around $300/pair. Otherwise, sand, fill, sand some more, fill some more, sand even more, paint, and pray.

I can agree that my 93 took longer to look bad than my 92, but the material is far from perfect. I have seen crap mustangs and the moldings be in excellent shape. Maybe I washed mine too much:D I never put anything on them. Somewhere I must have went wrong and my moldings just turned bad :nonono: Bad Mustang parenting:rolleyes:

I will comment that the 10 holes on my 93 are looking in mint condition compared to the 92's just 2-3 yrs after I got her. I do think they must have changed the process or manufacturer on the clear coating.

i have an extra pair as well that i took off a teal cobra

the guy was going through a devorce and his wife had already sold the motor and tranny...so i came along and took the windows and the door moldings and everything to make mine a flobra

....But on a good not you can take them to the dealer and they can fix them for you ..theres a compound that is like rubber that they used to fix the bumper off my 2000gt ....good luck
