it says (2000 - 6500 )rpm Its getting annoying taking off at 2k rpm in first gear is this cam really supposed to be like this. I was used to taking off at like 1300rpm. Is it the tfs1 cam or is it my intake( 1500-6500 rpm) or is neither is there something wrong with my car i dont know if this is right. its on my 83 vert

Tell me about it... I have Stage 1 w/ Track heat, a t-trim sc, and stock gears. When it want to stab it, I have to be at or above 3,000 to feel the power. Granted it is a kick in the a$$, but from dead stop to 3k it's a dog.

I'm going to try 3.73's and a tune. That should fix it. Or get a Street Heat intake.

My car has no issues at low rpm. I run a 3.90 gear and mine rips from idle to 6000 rpm.

im about to put some 3.90s in my ride. i already got them, just gotta get them installed. are you pretty happy with them? im running 3.55s now...hoping to see a noticeable change and better launches. maybe a little easier to turn the tires over :D

my car drives great at all rpms. but i advanced my cam 4* so maybe that has something to do with it. ive got a set of 3.90s sitting here along with all new bearings and shims and clutch packs waiting to get installed sometime

I had the trick flow kit on my old GT. I had the cam advanced 4* and it ripped right from idle to 6k. Try advancing the cam. I didn't try it with it installed straight up, but I heard it is good to use that cam advanced and I can vouch for it that it is.

No issues with my TFS 1, I leave lights @ about 1300 rpms or so with no problems, I have 4.10s. I agree though the cam doesnt really make power down low, you have to be up high to get some nice power, but I love it.

Everybody who says they have no problem with the stage1 or track heat seems to have gears. Therefore I still thinks it's the gears. What gears are in that stock 7.5? And where did the 3.90's come from all of a sudden? I know those are old school gears but all I ever see as an option is 3.55, 3.73, and 4.10 through all regular Mustang parts pedalers. A set of 3.90's sounds like they would be perfect for my 275-60/15 MT DR's. Who sells 3.90's?
