Hey Guys. Now We all know this has been asked 1000 times, and i did to a search, but in every thread, some of my questions werent answered. So i have a 1990 Gt with the Stock four Lugs, Power Slot Rotors, Hawk Pads, SS lines, And MM Stainles Steel caliper sleeves, I aslo have "Baer" tie Rods?

Now im running the crappy 17x9 Four Lug Cobra r's like everyone else and im sick of them. I want to upgrade the brakes to 5-Lug rotor all the way around the cheap way, with good Calipers, and also run a 18X9 Saleen Wheel. Now the Car is lowered considerably and i want the 18's to fit and not run. They are a 24MM Offset....Will those fit, or do i need a 12mm.

So what do i need? Master Cylinder, Booster, Rotors, Calipers etc....What the best easiest, cheapest way to get these 18X9's to Work while upgrading the brakes all the way around. I know some of you have the Saleens on your fox so please chime in and help me out!

Thanks!

I believe you have to roll the rear fenders to make the 18's fit properly. I'd go with Baer all around if you want to do it right. You could pick up some cobra brake parts. Usually they sell the Sn95 kits on ebay. This is the cheap route for the 5 lug conversion. You can usually get most of what you need there.

Your best bet is use the Ranger rear droms/axles (really cheap at junkyard) and get some 94/95 front spindles/calipers/rotors for the front. Just run those until you can upgrade to some good stuff. That will allow you to run your Saleen wheels with both setups. I have 18's on mine and they fit fine.

what tonys89Gt said I have done two conversions I would use the the spindles, rotors calipers from a 94, 95 and ranger axles it's definitly a budget upgrade upgrading to a baer set would be ideal if money wasnt an issue

I thought you can't do 18's on foxbody...i bought new VOLK GT-av in 17's 2 days ago. if i knew i could do 18's i would have done it that way/ doh!!!

but do you guys know what kind of offsets i can run on my 91 lx??? let me know.

The rangers axles are stock length 29 5/32 you can also upgrade to the sn-95 axles for the rear disc conversion. I purchased everything off of ebay and corral. axles will run you probably $80-100 and the spindles you can get for roughly $200-250. There is a great 5-lug conversion site but i dont have the link at work I can get it when I get home.

say, I have a complete baer brake package done on my 93 cobra and all my stock parts are sitting in the garage. Its the 4 discs, calipers and axles with the additional odds and ends that got pulled off. Im not sure what kind of a job it would be to put them on yours but i know people do it. It all just needs to be cleaned up....pm me if your interested.

Guys, check out moser axles. Do a google search. They can make any length axle for around $200. If not, go to the junk yard. I got my FMS axles, (just Ranger axles sold by FRPP in a kit) at Carlisle All Ford Nationals a couple of year ago for $75. Baer are nice looking, but offer no additional performance. Just piece it together. Anyone have Matt's site address? If not, do a goolge search for Matt Bobbit or Matt90gt.

I think you need 2 passenger side axles from a ranger

Driver side only from a mid 80's Ranger, I don't think it matters 2x4 or 4x4. Or Passenger side only from mid 80's Aerostar. Those are identical to stock stang axles (28 spline and same length) but in 5 lug and will run anywhere from $20-50 at the jy. SN95 brake parts will fit in the rear too, but you need to spend some money getting caliper mounting brakets since the SN95 axles are 3/4" longer, you will need to move the calipers in for stock length axles.

Don't buy a kit if you're going to use stock length axles. I bought a complete used SN95 rear disk setup from ebay and I'm only going to end up using the calipers and dust shields.

So For the 18's to fit Properly in the rear i need stock mid 80's driver side ranger axles? Can i run 94/95 Sn95 Dics and calipers still?

And for the fronts i need sn95 Dics, spindles, hubs, calipers and what else? Master Cylinder? Booster? Proportioning valve?
