So I'm finally upgrading the brakes on my 86' GT. Compared to my 05 GT the braking is scary bad. Here is what I've purchased:
Front
13" Rotors, Spindles, Lines, Dual Piston Calipers, Backing Plates all from a 97 Cobra
Rear
11.65" Rotors, Lines, Caliper Brakets, backing plates, single piston calipers from a 00' Cobra and SN95 Axles.
What do I need to do about the emergncy brake lines. Will the stock lines work or do I need to do something else? Furthermore, I know I'll probably need adapters for the 86' to SN95 brake lines, but what else will I need. In particular what problems should I look out for when doing the conversion? I know the track width is a little wider with the modular spindles (8mm) and the SN95 axles are wider (.75"), but I'm planning on running 17x8 wheels in the front and rear so that should be okay I think. Anyone with experince doing this swap?
