okay i'm ordering the Mongoose kit pretty soon , so i wanna be prepared :)
I'm going to order the Chrome deep dish bullits and i was wondering which tires will work best for me.
Best fit for these rims is 315's (the back). so i need something that will work good with the power i will be putting down...somewhere between 370-400rwhp with a good tune. So will reguler 315 street tires work?
Or do i need something like BFgoodrich Drag Radials ? Because my friend has a 03 Cobra and putting down around 450rwhp and is runing on 275's BFgoodrich tires , and he says they are working great for him.So i thought since i'm getting 315's i could go with regular street tires and they will grip fine with the extra power.Or should i best get the DR's.
Keep in mind , i will never see the track , and most likely never do hard launches from a stop.Oh yah and it is a Daily driver.

Thank you in Advance :hail2:

Well I can tell you I have BF Goods 295's KDW2 on mine and they don't grip to good on the 1/8 track up here in North Dakota. But, it was the first day the track opened up for the season so that could of been a factor. I only managed a 8.7 at 86mph on the 1/8 which comes to around 13.7 in the 1/4 and I was able to do 14.0 with my old car with 4.10's. I think I would try the drag radials next though. Excuse the mis types. Just a tad drunk right now.

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's :nice:

They cost more, but they will also last longer than other lesser expensive ones. They're worth every single penny in my opinion. I spun 180 degrees and almost crashed into a pole once when turning left a little too fast with my old tires in the rain. I no longer have that problem!

I had the Goodyear GSD3s(315/35/17s) on my car and they didnt hook for squat wih the blower. I have Nittos on the car now and they actually hook pretty good. When its cold out or the tires are cold they dont hook, but when its warm out they hook pretty good.

here's my Goodyear F1, GSd3's.... 275/35/18 all four corners...

best combo of dry wet tire made :D :D :D

hey 4.6 02 gt I have a question for you. I want to get some rims but all I see is 18.9 front and 18.10 back with deep dish. But I was deep dish all around. Will that works ?
I see in your picture that you have deep dish up front too.
Doese it touch your fenderwall? or any problem with 18.10 all around ? Can you tell me what kind of wheels are those?

I want this rims

What is the widest time u can put on 18.10 out back ? Can you get 315 out back ?

Thanks in adavance

LvnMustang,

yeappers I run 18x9.5 on all four corners, Heres where you can get the rims They are ADR M-Sport rims, in statin finish..they make a hyper black finish and chrome finish. ...unfortunately in 18 inch..nothing wider than the 9,5 inches I have. There are several places online to order them.. just search ADR M-Sport.

I ordered mine at Discount Tire, they in turn ordered them from Golden Apple in California and I had them in about week, have had mine for 3 years now. I just carried in the picture from online. Appartenly Golden Apple is a big west coast rim distributer. As far a rubbing with the 275/35/18 up front I get just a slight rub on sway bar in a full lock turn. If you want to run 315's out back although I know some people say you can run them a 9,5 thats just too narrow you really need a 10(10.5 better) rim for 315's would they rub..no.. So you will have to decide if you want 315's or if you really like the rim style. I could run 295's but Goodyear DSG3's only go up to 285. Cant recall if anyone sells a 295.

I get tons of compliements on the wheels.....dont tell anyone...they are actually made for Supra(dont tell anyone :)
