This is what I had on mine before I went to the Turbo:

MMR Intake w/ Hi-Flow Tube: A good but overpriced piece of gear. I believe the C&L has dyno'd better gains and is cheaper.

SCT XCAL2 93 Octane Tune: Going from an 87 Octane tune to a 93 Octane Tune netted me 6 RWHP and 9 RWTQ!!

3.73 Ford Racing Gears: Pick your ratio, but this is what I went with.

Detroit TrueTrac: A strong, worm geared LSD.

T/A Girdle: For that extra support!

MAC Long Tube Headers: These increased my HP and Torque and sounded mean!! Only butt dyno to confirm, but I definitely noticed a difference in torque and responsiveness.

MAC Prochamber with Hi Flo Cats: Smoothed out the thin sound our engine can get at high RPMs. With the headers, mean!!

JBA Mufflers: I love the muscular "performance" sound of these mufflers, especially with the turbo. The JBAs worked well with the headers/chamber, but I think the Flowmaster American thunders would sound better.

These mods should get you to your desired HP range if you are a manual. I did not dyno after I put on the LTs/Chamber and went to duals. Before the LTs/Chamber and duals, I was at 205 RWHP and 239 RWTQ. I felt a noticeable difference when I added the LT/Chamber, et al, but was waiting until I put my suspension mods on before I dyno'd. And then I got an offer on a turbo I couldn't refuse.

With the set-up I just described, my car felt very quick. If you used the C&L vice the MMR, you would squeeze an extra 3 HP (SCRMING replaced his MMR with a C&L and dyno'd). I truly believe that with a manual, you will either achieve or be very, very close to your goal. Add a UD from ASP (available at RPMoutlets), and you should be squarely in the middle of your desired range.

As far as delivering power to the ground, LCAs are a great place to start your suspension mods. I would also replace the panhard bar and brace and get a UCA.

dude i really appreciate it... i probably will go ahead and do those mods first...and then in about 5 years do the turbo. thanks!!!! people like you make my stay here at SN to be enjoyable b/c you take the time out of ur day to help someone. in all seriousness thank you.

does anybody have 3.55 gears for the 7.5 b/c if i am doing a turbo first gear with 3.73s will be pointless

You are right about that! I have the 3.73s and I scream through 1st in no time flat!! I had to set my rev limiter to avoid popping a piston!! Not sure if it would happen, but wanted to be safe!
