I just got a letter from YearOne announcing the Braselton Bash car show in Braselton, GA at YearOne. I've gone before and there were a few things to do including slot cars, drive the golf cart with "beer goggles" and "hit the old car with a sledege hammer". It was quite fun and they have a burnout competition and test & tune at the Atlanta Dragway. I haven't done the dragway part but the burnout competition is quite fun.
Anyone going? I am going to try.

YearOne and the Hot Rodders Children's Charity presents the Chip Foose Braselton Bash to benefit the Progeria Research Foundation. YearOne is teaming with automotive design guru and television star Chip Foose on a very special Braselton Bash to benefit the Progeria Research Foundation.
Progeria is a rare, fatal disease that causes premature aging in children, and the Progeria Research Foundation is leading the charge in developing treatment for the affliction, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Foundation.
There are a number of special activities planned for the event, including a participant vote car show open to all types of vehicles, special autograph sessions with Chip Foose, and a large kids play area. The winner of Best in Show, based on participant vote, will have his or her vehicle sketched by Chip Foose, and will be invited to attend dinner with Chip and Year One President Kevin King on Sunday night. A special drawing will also take place, open to participants and spectators alike, with a spot at the Sunday night dinner with Chip Foose and Kevin King up for grabs. The drawing will be held during the Show Awards ceremony Saturday evening.
Even more exciting is the Chip Foose Select group, open to an exclusive group of vehicles and their owners. The Select group will have a special parking area, and will receive an autographed photo of Chip with the owner and the car. Additionally, Chip will be choosing one particular vehicle as the Chip Foose Select award winner. The winner will have his or her car sketched by Chip, and will be invited to attend a special dinner on Sunday night with Chip and Year One President Kevin King. The Chip Foose Select Group will be limited to 100 vehicles only!
After the show, we're having a special test and tune session at Atlanta Dragway for show participants. A $15 race ticket will be available at the show only for those who would like to participate in the drag session. All vehicles must conform to NHRA and Atlanta Dragway technical requirements in order to participate in on-track activities.Space for the Main Car Show is limited!
