Anyone have this problem with the CAI and Tune....

Well just got done last night putting in a Tunable Induction Demolet CAI and X-cal 2 tune runs like hell......anyway I started it up this morning and the check engine light came on ..P0175 and P0172 rich on banks 1 and 2. I called Demolet we came up with some ideas to try and fix this he said he would do whatever it takes to solve the prob ..I erased the codes and have not seen them so far appear again...yet...has anyone elase experienced this when they first put the CAI and tune kits on is it just a "new thing the car is not used to" and it will be ok later. Any idaes or help appreciated.

Thanks ,

Let me know how those changes we discussed today work.
With your tuner having a custom offroad tune uploaded, and the other changes we did in addition to the standard tunes we'll figure it out, or it might be already corrected with the codes not coming back.

Thanks again for your business!

You can also call me later at that forwarding # I gave you.

That's why I like Demolet! He has some of the best customer service out there and stands behind even more difficult situations. I put his induction system on last week (just a standard tune) and everything's been perfect. Car get's up and goes much quicker now. No check engine lights.

If the CEL comes back, consider checking all of the screws and bolts are nice and tight, and also try cleaning the air sensor carefully with some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. The sensor on my '06 had a little bit of oil residue on it from the CAI and it kept setting off the CEL.

I use CRC electrical contact cleaner at the shop. It'll evaporate quickly without having to touch the sensor wires. Spray, NO forced air, wipe excess from meter, reinstall. Clean the sensor when you clean the filter.
