2.3 with Volvo head about ready to run

i know a few here never got to TurboFord and read...here is whats been going one with the Volvo head swap...one of the guys has his running and beat me to it but i wont be much longer..LMAO.....enjoy the pics...i am starting a kit form for the swap as just the converted head and even up to a full bolt on swap...all depends on how involved you want to be and how much money..lol.(well below the normal conversion cost of about 5Gs one shop is doing)...........Hal

for HP??..well the turbos are upgrades for a 300ZX and put out over 600HP worth of air..i only want mid to low 400s....

The amount of work?? thats the fun part...if i had more time it would have been done yrs ago...i took my car off the road last month and sold off all my everyday parts to fund this and i have gone nuts on the parts..lol...well for less that 1500 bux total i can reproduce a kit for the 2.3 single turbo and sigle Throttle body....I have it offered in diff forms from just a modded head to header and intake...the actual work is about 3hrs for header to build, 3 hrs to make intake,weld block on back of head and weld over the oil drains, mill flat, drill oil suply hole, match water ports, match oil drain hols (only 2 of the Volvos 3 are used) reasseble the head and install the water temp sensor, and gauge sensor and fan switch....thats about it...sad its so easy yet mine isnt done..LMAO......i wanted a lil more bling and so im making the twin Turbo and 4 throttle bodies.....it goes good with the water IC i run and the IRS rear, 14" front brakes 12" rears and 4 piston calipers all around....next mod is the T56 tranny , well after i get the wide fenders installed and car painted............Hal
 
Can I get a parts list for the head portion of this swap. I may be able to score the head from a local yard for cheap, but I've never done this and it looks like a dream come true for me who wants to slaughter imports with my next project. I would keep the single turbo set up though. I'll save the twin theory for my grocery getter (2.2 suby).
 
The turbos are just like a normal twin set up, I use cyls 1-4 for one and 2-3 for the other turbo...They fed into one 3" pipe then into the water IC i run...I dont have the intake Flange yet but when i get it here ill make the intake and show pics of it...That and the two new T28 turbos are all im waitng for...............Hal
 
dont let my mess fool you...drop the head off at a machine shop that can weld, show them pics from the Yahoo Volvo head site,have the weld, do the valve job, and resurface the head ( not in that exact order lol) you can fab a sinple intake and header for a single turbo...and swap it on just like a headgasket replacement would normaly be..and bam easy...the hard part was not going to crazy with it....i wanted exess and had the time and extra money to do it this time...you can use stock Volvo cam pullies stock Ford tessioner, mitsu belt 3.0 Galant....anyways its not hard just hard for me to find the time.....Hell its harder for me to build the custom header for a friends SRT Neon to use a Holset HY35 over the Trany......Hal
 
wow you got some real nice projects going on there. is that a 50 or 80cc ysr and what turbo are you running on that, i bet its fun as hell. and what did you fabricate that tiny turbo for, a lawnmower/gokart? ohh and what is that tube fram rear engine green car? ****, i wish i had your projects, props on doing some of the most original stuff i have seen.

another question for that dual turbo 2.3, will using just two cylinders per turbo create enough air to spin those huge turbos, or are you running them in a sequential style setup? also have you checked for any clearance issues? you should have one of the turbos protrude that hood that would look *****ing badas$.
