I had my 3.73s installed yesterday somewhat of a diffrence i guess i was expecting more. you can tell the diffrence its still lags in 1st and second kidna doesn't just take off like the old stang did. But the old stand also weighed alot less. But anyways i wanna see what this will run prob like a 14.7

I still have a stalling issue i can keep my wheel completly straight and the car will idle fine and everything and then i turn my wheel and the car stalls... but if i keep the idle up the car will not stall... My buddy a "ford Tech" tells me my powersteering pump line needs changed and the switch is probably bad... My line is really loose i have not checked the switch. What do you guys think about that?

just my .02 and by no means am i mechanic... i sorta have teh same problem w/ my 95... if i let it idle for awhile and put it into reverse or drive, it sometimes stalls out... or if i turn the wheel, itll studder like its gonna stall.. my problem is the IACV...

could this b ur problem as well? again, just .02

Your IACV proball just needs to be adjusted.. It is having trouble compensating for the load of the steering pump.

Just a tiny adjustment can make a big fix..

Mine did the same thing when I would turn on my AC..

BTW, I don't think we have pwer steering switches... those are usually for smaller engined cars... the purpose is to bump up the idle to compensate for the sudden increase in load from the power steering...

Wow not very encouraging news for me here... this is pretty much how I was gonna do mine...

my old GT ran 12.90s with that same configuration... and the 95 GT vert still feels gutless after all those mods and the new 3:73s? wow... beginning to wonder if this car was worth it to a guy like me...
wanted a 12 second car again at least.. without a blower..

right now mines completley stock and so slow it makes me worry its healthy or not.. that darn AOD E is prolly the bottleneck in my car though..

I was gonna do...
3:73s
Shiftkit
Stall
Mac headers and 2 chamber flows with a X pipe
intake 70 mm TB
C&L 70MM MAF

right now I think the car must have 2:73s as it will not even spin the tires at all.. and that scares me a bit.. every other stang ive ever had has ripped the tires to oblivion stock..

also getting an odd coolant low light that is wrong... checked and its full and car stays very cool any ideas on that?

That's your overflow tank sensor. Pull the lid off, you'll see a wire going down with a sensor at the bottom. My guess is it needs cleaned. If it gets dirty it can't make an electrical connection, so the computer thinks the tank is empty. :nice:

My car had 2.73s in it..... gutless is right. As far as spinning the tires. The stall and gears will help.

Here is a video of my g/f racing my car against my cousin's foxbody. It had drag radials that day (she doesn't do a burnout to warm them up) and it had a burnt electrode from earlier that day when I bumped the timing too much on the juice. :p

As you can see, it'll spin now. :D

K so the cars about right then huh bro?
wow.. knew the SN95 verts were a little heavy and slow but didnt think they were this slow :D lol..
guess I'm just a spoiled Fox body guy still in culture shock.

is there anything I can do now to wake this thing up? any tricks? in the old days a K&N remove the baffle and box, 180 thermo and some exhaust and you were in the low low 14s...

let me know this thing is mega stock...
