I was out detailing some on my car and I have a question. I have the two decals on my radiator support (one for the fan, one for the air bag sensor), but no decals on the bottom of my hood. I have the Saleen installed heat extractor hood. Should there be a decal installed on the underside like on the factory hoods? If so can someone tell me what all is supposed to be under there so I can buy the correct decals. Thanks!!

The hood should contain the federal emissions certification decal but apparently Saleen did not install them on all of their cars when replacing the OEM hood with the composite hood.

I, too, have the composite hood but I have absolutely ZERO decals on the underside or anywhere in the engine compartment. I kinda like the clean, no-decal look.

However, the lack of the emissions certification decal created a bit of a dilemma when I went to register the car. The CA DMV would not allow the car to be registered without confirming that it was certified for CA emissions even though it passed the emissions test. What was the qualification for being CA emissions certified?

The missing decal.

If you want or need the emissions certification decal, any Ford dealer can order it for you. They'll just need your VIN to order the specific decal for your vehicle.

I had one ordered for mine but it arrived after I had already successfully registered the car so now it is stored along with all my other documentation (just in case I might need it in the future).
