Hit the dyno in Saskatoon today, had to see what this winters parts additions did for the Stang.

Best numbers were 284 hp and 292 torque (rear wheel of course). Up from last years 261 hp and 264 torque. The temp was 95 degrees F(last year it was 85 F) and humidity was higher this year as well so I'm thinking a few hp could have been left on the table. Most noticable difference was an increase of about 35 ft-lbs from 2700-4000 and then the 25-28 ft-lbs difference that I said. I had noticed the car felt much better in the low end than last year and the idle has melowed slightly and no more surging. I believe the difference lies mostly in the WMS high-velocity system and the Pro-M mass air meter. I'm not an expert on mass air meters by any stretch but I can't see the new upper plenum and throttle body doing anything for the low end torque.

Interesting things I learned today:My car makes a couple more hp and about 10 more ft-lbs of torque at a 12.6 a/f ratio than it does at a 13.5 a/f when running naturally aspirated.
Also, bottle pressure is VERY important to getting my nitrous system to perform properly. This is by no means new info to anybody familiar with nitrous but i had no idea how much of a difference it makes.
Make 1 run with the 100 hp jets, the bottle pressure was 1050 before purging and making the run. Made 398 torque and 341 hp BUT with a 10.5 average a/f. 2nd run with 100 jet for nitrous and a step smaller fuel jet,but b-p was 950.A/F stayed around 10.7 but lost about 15 hp and 35 ft-lbs of torque.
Tried the recommended 150 jets but now b-p was 850 and it made only 338 hp and 368 tq with the a/f dipping down to 9.8 and averaging 10.5.
So I guess i'll be messing with the jets and trying to get the bottle pressure right up when at the track.
