TWINTURBO SETUP! i need opinons

Whats up guys, after a bit of saving and luck i got all the peices for my new motor and twin turbo setup together. OINKAODEOINK and i are getting started on it today. well first is the shortblock, i got a 91 block thats .030 over with new rods and keith black pistons, fully balanced and blueprinted, arp main studs.I installed the ford racing performence parts F cam and a comp cams double roller timing chain. i also managed to get a set of e7s ported to GT40 specs. new springs, seats, reatiners, and one piece valves and also arp heads bolts with Fel Pro LOC WIRE head gaskets.i plan on using 1.6 roller rocker when i can get my hands on some.im most likely going to use a downs upper and gt40/ported stock lower in take manifold(s).im going to use 75 mm tb and a C&L 75mm mass air calibrated for 42# FRPP injectors. Now the twin turbo setup. i have 2 t3 a/r 60 trim turbos with no shaft play.3 inch downpipes, one TurboXS RFL blow off valve, one ebay special 50mm external wastegate, autometer boost gauge, and a 12x36x3 intercooler. i need some opinons!!!

1. how much boost should i run?
2.should i oring the heads even though im using loc wire head gaskets?
3.what spark plugs should i use?

ill post pics up as soon as i can. Thanks:SNSign:

as was said, those heads arent going to flow enough. i also see the lower intake being a bottleneck too even though it is ported. with a stock block, staying under 500hp, keeping the rpm's down, and having a good tune are all good rules of thumb to follow.

Depending on the Loc wire gaskets you have, You may HAVE too have the heads machined to accept them. Sounds fun keep the power down around 500 or so, Thats all a stock block can handle, ( there have been some that lasted higher) But didnt last that long.:D

i wouldn't go anything over 10 pounds of boost. 6 may even be enough on that setup. the heads you are using are going to choke the power. you have good flow all the way till you get to the lower intake/heads. and as far as oring the heads, i'd rather see you use cometic gaskets.
what's going to happen if you oring the block, say you get a bit of detonation instead of blowing out the head gasket and being a pain in the ass and getting antifreeze everywhere your going to probably blow the block and have piston chunks everywhere and being a real huge problem.

as far as plugs, i don't know, thats a question for turbomustangs forum guys.

you can easily make enough power to destroy your block with the turbo and stock long block if set up properly. It's all a matter of turning up the boost. so as far as the heads and intake being a bottle neck, I wouldn't worry about that until you have an aftermarket block! then it will be a bottleneck!

If you already had the heads cut for Lock Wires and have them, then by all means use what you have. I dont care what kind of gaskets, shortblock, heads ect you have.. It's in the tune, as to weather it will last or not. This is why you see many turbomustang cars on a thread of "luck" at 500-600 or more horse on even stock shortblocks. For plugs, lets go one step cooler ( I dont even remember the numbers it's been so long), and gap them down to 32, that will be fine since you have the MSD goods. I doubt you will run into spark blow out at only 10psi with the MSD, though. Don't forget to bump the dist back down to 10* also.

For boost, we should start at 8psi and I would say depending on how well the engine responds to boost, keep turning it up till you reach your goal. The heads, cam, stock intake, ect will all flow well enough to reach your power goal.. I would not think twice about those items becoming any sort of "restriction" or issue.

Let's have this car running again by Friday/Sat depending how quick the cold side piping gets here.

ya i would be very happy with 400 whp. I just want it to run good and not give me TOO many problems, i know ill get some but hey what can ya do? Im taking it to Central Florida Turbo to get tuned, be i know a guy who works there. Also, because they have a 1000hp sn95 so i think they know what theyre doing.

Yea good luck on your build I finally got one side completed and now i'm going for the pax side. I plan on running 8psi on an average and 12 psi when i want to push it.. Since i'm not going to be stomping on it everyday i should be okay and you should too for that reason..

Good luck on your build. OINK did my headers for meand you can click on my cardomain link to follow my build.

yep your going to have to get another wastegate.. Oh and does your intercooler have 2 inputs and 1 output? if not your going to have to Y into one side of the intercooler and blow out oneside.

if not then we have the same intercooler and here is a pic of how big it is on the car.
