I am about to recieve some used c springs for $75.:D Good deal???
What shocks/struts should I run with these springs???
Does anyone have some reliable specs on these springs---
Rates, drop on 98, are they progressive???
Do I really NEED cc plates or ball joints?

Thanks yall, did lots of searching, but could not find any specific answers.

a guy i work w/ has a 97 gt and he just dropped his on stock shocks/struts w/ no problems and no CC plates...

from what i understand they are something like 650# front and abotu 250 rear sping rates... im just going to leave my stock shocks and struts on for the time being when i drop mine.

$75? are they used? even if they are bad for some reason 75 bones isn't anything to really worry about :nice: If for any reason you don't pick them up best alternative is the Ford Handling Kit (example here http://blueovalindustries.com/products.php?pid=99011423&openparent=1 , can be found cheaper)

If you're too concerned you can pick up some KYB's, they are cheap and reliable, better than stock

specs FRPP C Springs
Front Springs 650 lb/in.
Rear Springs 200-300 lb/in.
besides quotes for lowering it's about 1-1.5 for the front's

you don't really need C/C Plates most of the time, but the way mustangs come from the facotry it's hit-or-miss when it comes to lowering and needing the additional adjustments that come from plates

which kyb's are matched well to the c springs?
btw, what springs do you have in your pic?
either KYB or adjustable are good enough, they make shocks that hold up better and i believe they still have the limited lifetime warrenty with them, you can also look at tokicos blue's, which people have matched great with C's

I have some junk springs on, they were the only thing i had laying around at the time so i can have a better than 4X4 look, saggy sprotlines
