I know there are a bunch of posts out there, but I couldn't find this info. I'm specifically looking for input from 5-speed GT owners with 4.10's.

1) Rating of 1-10, 10 being highest, what do you rate the seat-of-the-pants gain going from 3.55's to 4.10's?

2) Rating of 1-10, how bad is traction at launch with STOCK Pirellis?

3) With 4.10's, what are the redline shift speeds, in MPH, of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd?

4) With 4.10's, what is top speed?

Thanks!

1) 10 seat of pants with M/T ET Streets
2)HORRIBLE!!!!! Tires not sticky enough want that power to move car not spin tires
3)When my shift light goes off I shift not looking at speed. I have it set at 5800 rpm so by time I shift I'm at 6200
4)ECU still cuts car off at 143mph as far as I know
5) ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!

I deleted the speed limiter with the tuner, wonder if it would hit 145 with 4.10's.

Sounds like I need to go with some fatter, stickier rubber out back. I wish someone made something like 275 55 ZR-17's so I could maintain stock look and ride height. Gah!

1) 10
2) sucks, all they do is spin
3) 1st goes to 36, 2nd goes to 56, 3rd goes to 92 (i think) 4th goes to 116
4) i have speed limiter disabled and have taken it to 150 mph once, scary as hell, but 5th pulls pretty hard with these gears so yea it gets up there

1) 20% more force to tire in 1st gear
2) ok with stock gears, slippery than eel sh$t with 4.10s
3) 4) I aint know but will do the math for you and get back to you

1,2,3 gear speeds are 35, 60 and 90 respectively.

you'd reach top speed at 5th with 5050 rpm's @ 145 mph. Of course this assumes you're not electronically limited to something lower.

so in other words, your top speed will not be limited by your gearing, but by the hp of the car in relation to the aerodynamic drag loss and rolling resistance to friction.
