Man, this is looking good. Real good, but I have two questions for you. First, what about the inner door and the other panels. This looks like a big money job and even though I understand the need for continuity in the graphics, why do you still have the doors and fenders attatched to the car?
Second, When it comes to candy paint and graphics, do you still have to worry about the "orange peel"? will there be any wet sanding invlolved in this? Just curious because I love a good paint job. Great Work and keep it up. :nice:

Door jambs will have the art design continued into them as well. The front clip and fenders will be being removed again once he is happy with the blend of the color. The dye candy is in a holding clear, so it can be wet sanded and buffed just like a regualr clear, but leaves him a window of time that he can still do art work before he has to sand and prep for the paint to adhere. I actually gave him a picture of Tunedin302's car for the kind of shine I wanted, and he assured me that will not be an issue to do. Lots of wet sanding and buffing, but he said he will make it shine the same way. (If he even comes half ways close I will be happy as hell. Since his car has one sick shine to it)

All said and done should be 9 coats of clear wet sanded in between each one to give it a very deep shine.

Few more pics took the fenders and stuff back off and painted all door jambs. Re-assembled and did some more art work.

All paint and art work was/is being done by www.ezairfx.com

Engine has a few little things done to it. Chromed this and that, hidden wires, polished this, powder coated that. oh yeah did I mention 2 T3's for it :D Downside being wont get those on until next year, but going this long another season is no big deal.

That's pretty badass....i'm all about flames.

Although....i think i saw one of the coolest paint schemes ever at a car show earlier this year....it was a '96 Mystichrome Cobra....typical paint that they come with, but along a few of the edges of the body, like the body lines on the sides and the edges along the hood, there was a snake skin pattern that was also done in mystichrome...you didn't even see it untill the light hit it, and it was done tastefully enough that it just set off the car when you saw it. I must have walked around the car 10 times.

As far as color, I always loved a deep blue, so we did some hunting and house of Kolors price was too much out of reach with everything else being done, so we went with all PPG and I have to say I am impressed with their products.

The design comes from the Owner and artist Heath Morrell of Ez Airbrushing Fx

The guy has talent, and ideas coming out his @$$ and his past work, and just all around awesome guy to work with made me go with him. Best artist in Eastern Canada IMO.

His Site address is in my sig, he has done some awesome bikes and has tons of awards to back up his work.

I really like the blue you chose and you are right that house of kolor paints are expensive. I would like to paint my stang a little darker blue but now sure which color now because I saw the house of kolor swatch binder.:jaw:
