Hi,

with my 2000 GT I am switching the T45 tranny to a T-3650 which came out of a 2001 Cobra. I am going to replace the clutch and flywheel in this turn.

- bellhousing bolts and driveshaft should fit, right?
- I need a 6 bolt flywheel for my car, right?
- 10.5 inch for flywheel and clutch or 11 inch? (no excessive dragracing)

just answered the first two questions myself:

- yes, bellhousing and T45-driveshaft fit

- NO, I have engine code 'X', which means I have a windsor engine and an 8 bolt crankshaft.

What's left is the question if I need 10.5 or 11 inch flywheel/clutch equipment.

Please help,

2000 GT needs an 8 bolt flywheel. I think you need an 11 inch flywheel to go along...but im not 100% sure on that.

Call 410-655-0869 and ask for extention 5618 and ask for Randy. Tell him your from germany and ask him your question.

Option B, (cheaper) . go here http://forums.modular depot.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21 (remove space between modular and depot) and ask him your question on the forums. He should be able to help you. :nice:

I have went from a t45 to a 3650. Nothing needed. The engine determines the flywheel. If it is a 1999-2000 it needs an 8 bolt like the cobra.. You can get a flywheel for an 8 bolt that will hold either a 11 or 10.5 . I have an alumunum one for sell that will hold both but its for a 6 bolt. Right now I'm using a stock 8 bolt gt flywheel with a 10.5" clutch on my new cobra crank. So if you just want to bolt it up with out changing anything it will work.

Mustangs equipped with a 3650 from the factory come with an 11" flywheel and clutch setup even the GT's.

Of course you can go with either, but the option is there to go larger.
