Would it be best to go with the stage 1 or stage 2 VT cams with a blower making 8 or 9lbs of boost? Also if i installed these cams before i did the blower install would i have trouble daily driving?

Also i hear some people with blowers not using blower cams. What would u guys recommend, i still want this car to be reliable/daily driver. Basically which cam for an 8 or 9lb boost car?

VT doesn't make a stage 1 blower cam...atleast not when i bought mine. Their st 2 blower cam should be fine for what you want. If you want more aggressive cams the crower st 2 blower cams are supposed to have alittle more lope.

VT Stage 2 blower cams..

running a blower without blower cams is doable, but it doesn't help your power as much as blower cams would. For example, the VT N/A cams would pull boost right out of the exhaust never allowing it to be used.

exactly.. I am losing alot fo air due to my overlap.. hurting my power

All VT Cams are the same price, be it Stage I, II, III or between Blower or N/A. its up to you to decide which is right for your setup and/or goals.

IMO id go with stage II right off the bat. so what, you gotta upgrade valvesprings, ooh, theyre cheap and easy.

If youre getting blown, you need blower cams. if youre planning on staying N/A or Nitrous, you need N/A cams. N/A cams have more overlap for scavenging and you will lose boost when using a n/a cam on a boosted setup. if you use a blower cam on a n/a setup, your scavenging will suck balls since blower cams are meant to have air forced to the motor, not sucked in,and you will probably make equal or less power as stock

do you plan to do the install yourself? I think Stage 2 is the way to go.. if not stage 3, but like what was said.. you gotta change the valvesprings out.. which is by far the worse part of the install if you do it with the heads still in the car.

Me and a friend of mine will do the install. He has worked with the 4.6 before such as porting and polishing the heads and using stroker kits on them, so im not worried about that part.

i have blower cams with NO blower right now. they are a custom grind because they are a stage 1. i chose stage 1 because i didnt wnat to loose any low end tq. like stated above i dont thing they make a stage 1 blower cam...that is why you would have to get a custom grind if you wanted stage 1.

im very happy with my power levels na for blower cams! granted if i had na cams id be over 300rwhp na. i am in no way suffering though powerwise.
