I LOVE air tools

Bought a 26 gallon 5hp compressor this weekend...WITH a 50 foot hose and a mini air gun


For 100 bucks And i will say this....i yanked the motor/trans and exhaust and driveshaft etc yesterday using air tools....never again will i work on cars with out them lol


Now i just hope that it is big enough to power my cut off tool.

Just picked up my compressor, spray gun and cut off tool a couple of days ago. Its like being 5 again and having this amazing new tool. very cool stuff

Indeed, i just wish my dad had gottenone years ago...the last time i did the motor and trans swap 2 years ago...along with anything else i have done....intake swaps itc have all been manual..

you baby... I do 99% of my car work without air tools.. I really dont think they are much faster unless its something thats on really tight. Most wratchets are to big and bulky to get in the small spaces of these cars.

I did my complete suspension by hand. I'm only 20 so it was good exercise

Meh i like speed.... i dont get a trill out of taking 5-10 mins on one bolt sometimes when an air tool has it out in half a second

I use them for disassembly but not normally for assembling purposes. Do your self a favor and get a 1/4" air ratchet if you havent already. Less chance for stripping bolts and allows you to finish each by hand. I use that almost as much as I do my Hitachi 3/8" cordless impact.

After growing up on doing the work by hand, I still find that at other peoples shops I instinctively pick up the hand tools before the air ratchet/impact etc . . .

But yes, air tools are very nice when they can do the job.
