now it's a new problem

got the pump seal replaced on the tranny, found out it was replaced already with an 85 gt tranny.

put the fluids in and if you don't remember my nephew also ripped out the lower radiator hose so when he was towed home.

so we added the antifreeze and the drove the car around the block, it shifted fine when we started and then as the car warmed up which was pretty quick it started shifting pretty crappy so we added more antifreeze and the temp started to come down but now the tranny is having alot of difficulty shifting into reverse and the rpms get a little high and then the tranny catches in drive.

what should I start doing

the front seal didn't leak which was a good thing but I'm not for sure whats going on with the tranny now

okay don't know what happened but my nephew says that the car seems to be running just fine now.

took a couple of trips for a few miles and now the tranny seems to shifting like normal but he did say that there was a very faint noise the is constant coming from the engine bay somewhere, I starting to think the vacum modulator is needing to be replaced.

heres a solution:

unbolt transmission from car

attach about 100yards of nylon marine rope.

find a deep lake or a pond.

drop in water

presto new boat anchor.

go to the junkyard get a t-5 and the peddal assy. and just swap it over.
