Where is your clutch pedal????

  • Sponsors (?)

My clutch pedal is just about dead even with my brake pedal. The only reasons they would be out of alignment would be (1) clutch pedal rubber stop is missing or (2) severe wear to the clutch pedal pivot bushings.

The only way to "adjust" the height of the clutch pedal would be to monkey with the thickness of the stop.

Holy crap.........anyone with a manual tranny should be able to simply answer this?????

Come on guys, I need help here.

Is your clutch pedal higher (closer to you) than your brake pedal, or are they similar heights???

Thanks

Maybe you should give us more than 59 minutes to answer, eh?

Thanks for the informative and useful reply.

I hope I can return the favor one day.

Now I know exactly what I needed......just super:rolleyes:

EDIT: Also, if you look at the number of people who have READ the post.vs the 1 who actually answered....dismal.

I'm almost afraid to write for fear of being dimissed. :)
My clutch pedal is slightly higher than my brake pedal. Although, I think mine may have something to do with my brake pedal and the rod that conects into my master. I think I broke it because I pulled on the brake pedal and it pulled the rod right out of the master and ever since I can't get it to stay in or line up right??
With regards to the clutch pedal adjustment I don't think there is any way to adjust it beyond using a larger stop? Let me know if you come up with anything!

mine is slightly higher than brake pedal. I can't remember if the rubber stop was in there, but this post has me thinking that I would like it a little lower, and to check out the stop/install one if there is none . . .

Thanks guys!

I did not know the stop was adjustable..........I will adjust mine downwards.

I do notice that my pedal does not get pulled up to the stop...........WOULD my pedal spring be worn out???????

Also, I do not have a spring that goes from the firewall to the top of z bar.........?clutch return spring?.......DOES anyone know if 1967s are suppose to have those??????

Thanks again!

Completely agree, the customer service in this case was horrible. Why don't you demand your money back?

btw, my clutch pedal is under my dash, next to the brake. :D
