Hello....I have a 95GT that with new heads(GT-40X) cam (e303) and many other things and diablo chip to control all been having alot of overheating issues. If i let the car run in front of home it goes fin and never gets above the R in normal.....But as soon as i drive it it heats up big time and into the red. Fan is on and runs and full of coolant also put in water wetter to help but no change..........Thermostate is a 180 and is working well and there seems to be no leaks in hoses and belts seem fine. Im going crazy as i dont know why its doing this......all seem to point to new radiator and better fan.....but wanted to post and get some opinons...Thanks....Also anyone in south jersey area that could reccomend great speed shop that wont ripe you off or charge you out the A**.......Thanks Chris [email protected]......:SNSign:

You have the stock air deflector under the car?

If it idles at a good temp but heats up when you're at speed, that suggests the radiator could be marginal, and the load on the engine is showing you the lack of heat rejection you're capable of.

It's like having a bum knee that you can walk on ok, but as soon as you jog, you limp.

You have a real gauge,no?

More info (actual temps seen, under what driving conditions it runs hot, etc) will help.

Good luck.

I would check two things if all the things you say are working are.

1. Check for air in the system
2. Also, just a quick test on the fan. When the car is off and fan is not moving, try to spin it. If it spins freely your good there. If it's getting hung up that motor may be eating itself up and the shards of metal slowing it down while it should be running full speed. Just offering this from personal experience. My car did the exact same thing as yours.
