114mph, 11 second material for sure!
gears and tires will most surely do it, assuming it will lower the 60', and it should.

I may be at byron as well, shoot me a PM if you're taking the car out.
From chicago it isn't much further than morris, thats down by 80, if you take the kennedy out of chicago to I-90, then take that to I39 south, to 72 west...you'll hit byron pretty soon.

or the Ike out of chicago to I88 west to I39 norther to 72 west.

Byron never used to run at night!!
I have yet to be there for a night race/testing.

60 2.072
1/8 8.221
mph 89.53
1.4 12.596
mph 114.64

This run is nearly 11's with some sticky tires.
Figure you can cut the 60ft down by .3, and that's worth at least .5-.6 at the other end.

Normally i'm anti chevy in a ford, but the ls1 is a great engine, it's the carb'ed 350's and lt1's that i despise.
So i kinda like this project.

The fastest ive gotten was 1.9's on those street tires. But the harder I launch the more my trac loc likes to break loose. So Ive definately got some rear end work to do before I go to the track next.

let me know if your going. they usually just race till its dark then they quit. cause they still have no lights. but last time it was around 9, it will probably be earlier now. it should be a good time for sure. not to many cars. mostly just local rockford cars and some trailored. maybe you have some tires i can borrow. haha :jaw:
