331 Stroker hesitating between 2-3k RPM's? CAM or Fuel/Ignition?

I'm trying to figure out whether the hesitation my car has between 2k and 3k under WOT (most pronounced in 3'rd and 4'th but feel it in 2'nd and 5'th as well) is being caused by my cams specs or if its something else. I have the TFS Stage II cam, which I believe is a higher RPM cam. Strange thing is that it only feels like its hesitating in that range....almost feels like a fuel/ignition issue, but as soon as I hit about 3k it starts pulling strong. It may just feel like its pulling stronger to me at 3k though because thats where my power really starts kicking in, but that hesitation may still be there, I just may not be able to feel it because its not as pronounced. Does this sound insane? Its possible the cam is not spec'd to make power in that range, but I'd like to figure this out before I go an get a custom cam.

I have recently installed a Crane Cams HI6 Ignition box with Taylor 10.4mm wires and Autolite plugs.....the hesitation was happening before I installed these and is still doing it.

I'm resurrecting this thread because I still have this same issue. I changed my ignition box, wires, and plugs in hopes that it would help, but I'm still having the same problem. I'm wondering now if it can be a distributor or possibly fuel injection problem?

Maybe I need to approach this in another way. What systems i.e. fuel, igntion, etc. are RPM dependent, or could possibly have different affects on power through the RPM band?...more specifically in the lower RPM range?

Once again, to refine the symptom, the engine really feels like it starts "bogging" down or more simply, "hesitating" or "missing" in the RPM range I defined, but pulls very hard after that.

are you headers intake or anything leaking? changed the cap and rotor on the distributor? one thing i know i was having issues with me f150 SD 5.0 when the alernator starting crappin out it started bogging low end but would pick up and it could be that your injectors are clogged just some of my expirinces but i dont have a 331 either

Don't think I have a vacuum leak becase the idle is pretty good, and don't have any other symptoms of major vacuum leaks.

Changed the cap and rotor.....and the TFI module a while back.

My issue seems to be very allusive because it pulls HARD after that range. That's why I was leaning towards the cam, but it just doesn't "feel" like the hesitation/bogging down is cam related.
