I recently installed my JTI CAI w/ SCT Tune and the engine rpms drop very slow after i put the car in neutral. If i had to guess i would say the car stays in the 3000-3500 RMP range for 2 secs or so after the clutch is pushed in or i shift to neutral from an acceleration. Is this normal?

Thanks

That's not normal, you guys should check all connections on the intake to make sure nothing is loose, if it's all good then contact whomever you bought the tunes from...

Joe did you purchase yours from JTI direct with the tune from SCT, or did you order form somewhere else like bamachips?

I will double check the connections, but i am pretty sure everything is fine. I think it might be the tune.

First thing to do is check for leaks at all the fittings and attachment points of kit.

If all that is fine then the problem is in the tune, you may want to contact the tuner. This was also a problem on the older modular cars 96-04 on those you could change the dashpot setting in the tune and that would correct this problem. I am not sure on the 05+ cars with the electronic throttle body.. Unfortunatly I don't have a ton of experence with the 05+ processor.

Thx. I will double check all fittings tommorrow. Whiel i am very inexperince with mecahnicaly, seems to me that two people having the same experience with the exact same CAI and Tune, it would be more like the the tune than two improper installs.

I checked all the connections and couldn't find any leaks. I contacted John and he is going to check with Ryan at SCT to see if it could be something in the tune.

Joes Snake, he asked what your computer code to see if it might be related to that. If you could post your code and/or email John with that info it would be helpful.

Thanks
