I think the car you are thinking of was owned by Randy Fornet (sp?) from what I recall. He sold it for a new GT 500.

Sorry to disagree with you Bart, but Justin is correct that car was listed at PAS, the guy on SVTPerformance bought it spent some money on it and I guess now wants to sell it...........

Thanks for the correction. The car we are talking about used to have custom PFracing seats in it right?

Ya.

I believe both were on Mark's site. The one with the custom seats was a california car from Camarillo. The other was bought more recently and the guy who owns it now bought it with th KB blower already on it. You guys actually have a pretty good memory. I forgot about the first Cali car. I almost bought that one before it mysteriously arrived at PAS.:D I think that guy had his and his wife's initials ebroidered into the seats.

Yes that's correct, they did both appear at PAS, the Cali car was sold without those seats, they had the husband's initials on the driver seat and the wife's on the passenger, the seats were sold seperately on ebay.

Oh by the way for the two white Saleen collectors, that means you and Robert............:D ...........I recently ran into the Gentleman who had just bought 03-13, the White Saleen Cobra Coupe, I gave him my contact info 'cause he said he might sell it in the next year. I'll let the two of you know if he calls, just in case either of you two might be interested.............

Just what I need, another white one!!! My scheme for Saleen's has changed a little sense we last saw one another. I still love and would pursue basically any white Saleen however added color to the garage in the near future is almost certain. The new scheme/direction limits me to a certian few cars of which the XP8 and speedster are already members of. I'm sure your cleaver enough to figure it out.....Marcus and Todd, not a word....:p

Sweet ride, would love to have one!! Only problem with an american supercar and/or exotic import: 6' 7" , 265lbs = NO *CKIN ROOM TO DRIVE FOR ME :(
I'm sure adjustments to the seat could be made to make it more comfortable but would be very difficult in any mid-engine car....But thanks for thinking of me Bart :D

Bobby,

Don't talk yourself outa a nice white Ford GT. We could always put a "Cutler" bubble in the roof of the drivers door!

THanks for taking his contact info. I believe he recently ( well maybe since January ) bought that car. I took a pass on it last Jan. so must be on owner number two now. No?

Older guy who got rid of a Z06 and bought it about 4 months ago, and you're right he's owner number 2.

id rather have the saleen, gets more attention than the cobras. but it depends what you want. you could always make the 2v as fast as the 4v for the right amount of money.

well put there sss281. i have solid proof that a 2v can make the power. i'm sure most of you probably haven't even heard of ed clark, or maybe you have. he tuned my car with sct-software. and he tunes very conservative. if you want a saleen and you end up with a 2v, do as i did and get your motor bored .30 over and add forged internals(pistons, rods, beehive valve springs, cobra crank, etc.). i had my motor balanced and blueprinted to almost perfection, i already had the vortech s/q s/c, with a 3.6 pulley it put down 460rwhp, and 421 rwtq at only 9 lbs. of boost. now i failed to mention i did add the 278 comp cams, so add that to the mix. but ed tunes for sct all over the u.s., he was at sema in las vegas last year and he loves to see a 2v make some power. i keep in contact with him as much as possible about future upgrades. that according to ed as of last month is still the highest hp a 2v non-intercooled car has made.
my total timing is at 8 deg. because my inlet temps are in the 232-235 deg. since then, i've threw the methanol kit and a 2.8 pulley pushing me to 17-18 lbs. of boost which is maxxing my s-trim out. but it made 653rwhp without me having to get a tune because of the sct-software. almost 200rwhp was gained just by forking out $550-600. all i did was take it to a local tuner/dyno shop to get some numbers. i actually hooked the snow performance up myself and tapped it right after the s/c and put my iat sensor up at my throttle body and it bumped the timing up considerably. that is the only thing i have no clue about, how much timing i'm running now and my inlet temps. but that hopefully will be taken care of soon. i plan on purchasing the racers package from sct so i can hook it up to my laptop and know what everything is doing.
sorry for the long story, but like the guy said, you can make a 2v nasty. and btw, nitto drag radials suck a@#. they look nice, but when you are running 50-55mph and nail it and the drag radials start smoking, that's pitiful. mickey thompson's will be on the way soon. i know there are some non-believers out there, but brad bowling was in myrtle beach, sc covering mustangweek for modified mustang magazine and my wife, me, and my saleen will be in the oct./nov. issue, but that will only give a hint and a pic or two he said about my car. we are meeting up at a later date in oct. to do a shoot for me to be the feature car of the month(front page pic). i thought it was b.s. when he called me, but it will be in the feb./march issue about my car. enough said about that, don't want to sound like i'm bragging, i'm just excited to be noticed finally. it's the ol budget saleen. that caught his attention and then the dyno sheet and then he noticed it was a manual. they only made 118 budgets(30 in 1996,88 in 1997) and he said there were very few manuals made and i had one of them. anyways, good luck on your decision. both are great cars.
