Well after my previous experience of lemon-lawing my 03 GT and owning an 04 F150FX4 for a few years, I'm getting the Mustang bug again. I'm curious to see if anyone on the boards bought under the new "labor day" special and what type of deals they got on an 06 GT, preferraly a 5spd premium coupe.

Thanks

I8ahonda.... I answered your PM...

Don't wait, the deal ends TODAY! Start calling the dealers and see if they've got a GT in stock. Most of them are gone but their might still be a few left. I already know that 5 star ford in North Richland Hills, Sam Pack in Carrollton, Ford Country in Lewisville, and Bill Utter in Denton are SOLD OUT of "unmodified" 2006 GTs and V6s. The deal doesn't apply to the 2007 models.

Give those dealers I listed a call after you've checked everyone else. You never know if they might have gotten one in or if a deal fell through.

Good luck. Most 06s in every model was gone early last week. Ford lowered its standards regarding credit and almost everybody qualified. That's why, according to my dealer, the 06s went so quickly.

I took advantage of the deal.
I traded in my '04 Mach 1 and bought a '06 GT premium 5spd. The dealer lots were filled with automatic equipped GT's, and it was very hard to find any 5spd cars, let alone in the colors I wanted. Torch red wasn't in my top choices, but I liked it enough to buy the car. I put money down for a car during the second night of the sale, so I beat out both weekend crowds. I'm sure the lots were picked clean by the time labor-day weekend came along.

I picked up an '06 GT Premium 5-speed the day the deal started, and my g/f just got an '06 Explorer this weekend. I found my car online, and it was one of about seven 5-speeds left in a 50-mile radius. Of those seven, two were Roushs and two sold the day I was planning to go see them. It was one of those deals where you couldn't be too particular about color or options. The only things I said were: I didn't want black or the light blue, I wanted a GT Premium, and it had to be a 5-speed. I wound up with the car below, and couldn't be happier.

I missed out on the 0/72 when I got my '06 GT in June... But I also bought some Ford Motor Credit Bonds a few months back, so someone please tell me that all this 0% financing to sub 630 credit scores isn't coming from Ford Motor Credit?

I'm thinking I should sell those puppies tomorrow...

I picked up mine on the 2nd day of the deal (Aug 25th). Last 5 speed on my dealers lot and he's 1 of the top single location dealers by volume in the country. As an example of his inventory, he already had 30+ '07s including a couple GT/CS's.

I found that dealers' websites said they had cars when they didn't. One dealer also told me on the phone that he had two new 06s when he didn't. He was trying to get people on his lot and then sell them something else.

I took advantage of the deal. My old car was going south so I took advantage of the deal and got a White V6 with a 5spd. Almost exactly what I wanted. I wanted one with the Pony Package and Interior Upgrade package. Oh well, I'll add the Pony grill and wheels later.

Last laborday I bought my 06 Stang GT for cash at Invoice.
But it was Auto and came with a shacker1000..
cars nice but I miss the manual,I was thinking of trading it in for a new 2007 GR manual...But I felt there are going to be lots of changes to the 2008s so I will wait in the Mid 2007 and get a 2008...

I read on a website that to get the 0% for 72 months you had to have a 10% downpayment. Anyone know if that is true? I've only seen it mentioned on one site.
My dealer was willing to do the deal with zero down. I still put $2K down anyways. FYI, double check to make sure the deal is still out there, I though it was only good through Labor Day.
