P1443 - Very Small Or No Purge Flow Condition A fuel tank pressure change greater than a minus (-) 7 inches of H 2 O in 30 seconds has occurred with purge (fuel vapor) flow less than 0.02 pounds per minute. Blocked fuel vapor hose between EVAP canister purge valve and FTP sensor.
Blocked fuel vapor hose between EVAP canister purge valve and engine intake manifold.
Blocked vacuum hose between EVAP canister purge valve-solenoid and engine intake manifold.
EVAP canister purge valve stuck closed (mechanically).
Check for blockages between the fuel tank, EVAP canister purge valve and engine intake manifold. Check obstructions in the EVAP canister purge valve diaphragm and ports.

This CEL is usually fixed by replacing the purge regulator valve sensor, which is located near the fuel lines on the passenger side of the engine...Also there's a purge canister that is hooked up to the valve that can become clogged and might need to be replaced also...Thirdly, the valve itself might need to be replaced...

Filler neck leak

You may also want to check your fuel lines/fittings for leaks. I'm not sure about the code #, but my 99 Cobra had the check engine light come on. Advance Auto said the code was probably caused from a loose gas cap, but it turns out my filler neck was slightly leaking where it entered the fuel tank (causing vacuum problems). Got it fixed, and no more light.

thanks guys !! i found a broken vacuume line connected to a solenoid i reconnected but i guess i have to clear the code to see if it never comes back.on the pass side near the fuel lines the line is just haning there , it was to close to the manifold and heat did its thing , ill let u know what happens

well i repaired the vacumme line and the check engine light came back on , the solenoid goes to a vac line fron the TB to the gas tank (purge valve-solenoid ), i checked the voltage at the connector at its 12v and i checked the solenod on a battery and it functions when i reconnect it to the plug it doesnt function and the voltage goes from 12v to 0 to the plug when i reconnect the solenoid any thoughts ? bad solenoid or ECU ?

OK this is what i now know the Evap Soleniod is working BUT the Grey/yellow wire comming off it has a problem does anyone know where it goes ?? i hooked the red wire to the evap soleniod and the other prong to ground and it did activate so theres a prob with the grey/yellow wire and im to dam cheap to spend hundreds to bring it to ford right now ( divorce u know this guys)
