Another Sirius Question

I have the Sirius radio, and no mention was made by the dealership as to how long the free trial subscription was for. Any ideas as to how long the standard free trial is for? The salesman still does not even understand what Sirius radio is.

Also it is advertised as advertisment free, well in the trial version anyway, it is loaded with commercials. Is this something that goes away with the full subscription version?

I don't know where you are getting commercials if you are indeed listening to Sirius. Some of the announcers are a bit chatty but no commercials other than promos for their own programs.
Do you have Sirius activated?
If you like classic rock, check out channel 14.

You will NOT get commercials on the music selections; only on syndicated networks. (For instance, when FoxNews or etc. goes to a commercial break; they are literally transmitting you the cable or satelitte feed that people are "watching")

So yes, on some channels you will get commercials, not on music though.

My bad

When I came home from work today and checked the mail, I had a package from Ford. I thought it was a payment coupon book on my car. Instead it was an owners manual and a letter that explained that when my car shipped the new manuals had not been received from the printer. I looked and I had 2005 owners manual in my glove box. The new manual has all the information you guys have been giving me about the Sirius radio. As to why mine came activated, well your guess is as good as mine.

And you are right about the commercials, I dont get them on the music channels. This all makes me wonder why Ford is haveing the management generated problems it has now, I just cant figure it out.:bang:

I believe that the dealer activates the Sirius before the car is delivered: mine was activated when I picked up the car. The free trial period is for six months. My dealer also has a pamphlet about Sirius that gives the information on extending the subscription beyond the six month trial period.

i have a sirius subscription from my last car I totalled but don't nkow how to turn it on in my GT. Do I have to hook up the antennae and power etc like on my old car? I hope not as its all gone-
