Well, just got back from PowerHouse!!!! I must say, they are a great shop, never recommend something you don’t need, very helpful, answer your questions. And hanging out with Nav (another 4.0 owner) was cool too, unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to close the bar. Oh well…next time….

Anyway, thought I would post the list of modifications for this visit to PH, as follows:

· Precision Industries Torque Converter @ 3400RPM
· AEM Wideband install
· PowerHouse driveshaft w/safety loop
· K-Member Brace w/Engine TQ Limiters
· PH Panhard Bar
· TA Girdle

That’s it, oh, almost forgot….

· 11PSI Spring install!!!!
· Dyno tune for 11PSI

It’s time to get serious here, 4.0L SC’s going built motors, people hitting kick ass times on street tires…..so be it. The arms race continues……

….and don’t worry, I’m not beyond a built motor either….LOL, I may just have to look into that…or maybe I have already…..

I pick up the car next Saturday, and plan to hit Thompson Dragway the same day to see how she does.

LOL. Thanks man, and will do!:nice:

I think 11's may be a stretch without drag shocks and some weight reduction. I'm not ready to do drag shocks on my daily driver, I need to call Scrming up and ask him how his long distance drives are on the drag shocks. I will also need to do the front BMR sway bar delete kit, and lighter rims. I think it's doable, but got some more to do to pull it off in an auto.

I do think low 12's are possible with this setup.

Rygen,

 Your unrelenting quest for an optimal V-6 bracket racer/DD amazes me. You have my continued appreciation and unwavering respect.

Wow, thank you Jennifer, comming from you that means a lot. I can't help it, I'm addicted to this. Luckily, I have an understanding family CFO...er wife. LOL.

The CFO even approved the purchase of the Boss when it comes out.

ahhhhh Well then my modification addicted friend you have a Chief Financial Officer who understands the delicate balance between planning for the future and living for the day! :hail2: She's a keeper! :rlaugh: :nice:

Got an update

Well, got an update on the work. Looks like Percision has to modify my stall to fit the V6, so its two months out. It's unfortunate as this will probably put me past race season. But its the first one, so I don't mind.

However, not all is lost. Percision is reworking my stock stall and adding 200-300 RPM (so hoping I can launch at 2800rpm, we will see) to it so I can at least improve my launches this season. So I'm very excited about that.

Also, for the TA Girdle, its been discussed before but wanted to remind people that you need a panhard relocation bracket in order to clear the 7.5 rearend. I only know 2-3 owners that have one and they had to have one. I'm going with the PH/CHE piece on this, but BMR also makes the bracket.

I'm hitting Thompson this saturday, but I'm not holding my breath, because that track is 1500 and the track I usually go to, Mason Dixon in MD is at 600ft above sea level. So I think my best times this season will be down there in the weeks to follow.

As soon as I get the drive shaft in, and other goodies I will provide a full report.

Racethis (handle of another 4.0L owner) thinks I should look into drag shocks. So I am now really thinking hard on those to.

Also, since we are on the subject....

You can get a stall from TCI or Percision, but everyone I talked to swears by Percision. They are stronger, and can be custom configured/built to your car. For the Percisiion piece, they needed my dyno data to build it.

You can also have your stock one reworked if you only want a few hundred RPM.
