Finally got Stella back. All I can say is after spending the day driving her back home for 6 hours (taking the long way, LOL), that she is simply a monster. An absolute brute! The TQ from the Powerhouse turbo is completely, and diabolically insane!!!!!

So, to play catch up for those of you that might have missed my previous thread….here is a break down of the modifications this time around (slight deviation from the last post):

• Reflashed Stock Converter (precision is working on mine, they need to make some changes for it to work on the six, but its paid for and PH will let me know when its ready, and stall will be 3600!!!)
• Powerhouse Drive Shaft
• Powerhouse/CHE Drive Shaft Loop
• Powerhouse/CHE Panhard Bar w/Poly/Poly
• Powerhouse/CHE Panhard Brace
• Powerhouse K Member Brace
• AEM Wideband w/output to XCAL2 & Laptop
• LPW Girdle (stronger than the TA piece)
• 11PSI spring & retune by Powerhouse

Now for some initial thoughts….

K-Member Brace

The car seemed to launch smoother through the gear transitions on WOT. Not 100% sure, I really need to put it through the trials at the track, kinda hard to do on the street. The front of the car definitely feels like it doesn’t get away from me as much as it used to when I got on it!

Drive Shaft

Well, I did managed to get the MPH up on the car in some open areas twice. No vibration what so ever. We will see how this modification does at the track. But since I am running 12’s, I had to put in the drive shaft loop and figured I would do this as well.

Panhard Bar & Brace

I had the Steeda piece before, haven’t had a chance to put Stella through the twisties but will try to take her out tomorrow for some first impressions.

AEM Wideband

Powerhouse did an exceptional install, and setup a convenient XCAL2/laptop cable that I can pull out of the passenger side dash to use when data logging at the track. I will make good use of this.

LPW Girdle

Stronger than the TQ piece, I’m hoping it will help deal with the insane TQ the 7.5 is handling now.

I will try to get pics of all of this tomorrow or later this week. I forgot my camera.

Now the best part….

11PSI Spring Install!

The car made the following numbers on a Mustang Dyno!!!!

• 320 RWHP
• 371 RWTQ
• 10.32lbs of boost!!!

The interesting thing is it didn’t even get all the way to 11lbs of boost. I am so happy with the results. I posted that I was after some serious TQ and I got my wish!!!

As usual PH did an exceptional job again!!!! It is sooo with the 6 hour drive!

And for the sheet….

Next stop, the track!!!!!

Oh crap, forgot about the reworked stall. Percision reworked it for me, launching from idle or powerbraking I can get to 2500 RPM! That was my best power braking RPM on DR’s. I’m guessing I can at least hit 2800 on the DR’s. It will be an insane launch with them now!

And I do have to add.....

I have to say, I did have a most humbling experience today…..

Today Steve@Powerhouse gave me a ride in the V8 Turbo car…….

….HOLY CRAP. Words can describe how hard this car pulls. You V8 guys gotta get one of these. LOL.

VERY nice numbers!! congrats once again.

any plans to upgrade the rear end to an 8.8 or 9 inch? there is a bolt-in 9" for the S197s available now. the biggest downfall now would be that new driveshaft you just bought might have to modified if you upgrade. i know you have installed some great parts to strengthen up the 7.5 now. do you know where the weak point is as far as power goes with the modified 7.5 rear?

I might go 8.8, didn't know about the 9inch, will have to look into that.

The weak point with the 7.5 & TLOK is a ton of TQ and hard launches. PH broke thiers on the 150 shot, spraying early and launching at 5K RPM! That was like 500RWTQ jolt to the rear end in a split second. I'm not sure what could have withstood that, I'm sure the 8.8 would have a hard time with that kind of abuse with multiple launches at teh track.

So, given this, my car is an auto, and I don't have the juice anymore, so we are not giving the rear end the "jolt" that PH did.

I'm guessing with track seasons, and talking with John about it (Scrming) who also did some research on it with some track vets, we could probably go two users daily driving/track seasons before the TLOCK would need rebuilt.

Not sure about the axles though. Thats a another discussion all togather.

Im thinking about putting headers, intake and chip in mine what kind of horsepower you think i'll get outta all that?

depending on your tranny... I'm guessing 190 to 200RWHP... maybe a little more if it's a manual... Also for our cars we don't use a chip... You get a hand held tuner and "reflash" the cars computer... Much easier than messing with a chip! LOL! I prefer the SCT X-Cal2, especially if you happen to have an automatic...

Oh.. BTW... in your sig... it should be "dual" not "duel"..

Thats definantly a pretty conservative estimate as thats about what I have now with 3.73 gears, dual exhaust, x-cal, intake, springs, trac-lok, and anti-squat brakets. 190-200 sounds just about right. In a year I'll have enough for the blower so then I can give all you folks with those a run for your money. :hail2: I'm debating on whether to install it myself and have it dynoed here or go give my parents a visit in Erie and go to Girard and have it installed by powerhouse. Its only a 24 hour drive from central Texas.

wow, hey rygen just currious, how much have all of ur mods cost thus far, and u mentioned urs was an auto, do u think ur car would be faster or slower if it were a manual, cause thats wat i have

This should give you an idea of what I spent on performance modifcaitons for this car.

Also, a manual will show much better results asuming the driver can power shift. :nice:
