That sucks !!!!

Now are these spun bearings a result of the stock oil pump not flowing enough with the upgraded cams etc...maybe we should all be upgrading to the FRPP/Cobra/MMR oil pump when it time for cams/heads etc. This is like the 10th post on a spun bearing on a under 300rwhp car in like the last month i have seen on the forums. I have a new high flow pump going in with the new shortblock but i'm not assembling it myself because these bearings and tight tolerances scare me.

Tell helty i love his "12 reasons i hate SLP" video
thanks ;)

I have a video of the damage, well the sound anyway. I'll post it up in a bit.

Wanna hear how jasons day is going? First he ****s his motor, which is bad enough. Then I let him borrow the Red Dragon (since I have two stangs  ) and he gets rear ended in my car while Im at work :owned: :rlaugh: The damage is minimal, in fact I had trouble telling there was anything wrong with it tonight. Im sure in the daylight it will be worse, but it wont cost much to fix. Just paint abrasions, no real body damage. FUnny thing is he said the front of the car that hit him was F'd. Ford Tough

WOW, Man sorry to hear that Jason :( :( :( . Man I would have NEVER guessed that would happen.

Mines been running strong with over 25,000 miles of 6200RPM shifts and beating on it like EVERY time I drive it. Man, that seriously sucks :nonono: .

I wonder if your oil pump started going south and starved the bearings? Like said, these bearings ususally just dont spin...the need a reason. I doubt your oil gauge would say anything...you would have to have almost 0 pressure before that darn thing moves.
Remeber (forgot his screen name) spun a bearing while just driving normally when his blower oil line came loose...no engine warnings and gauge showing normal.
Im betting your oil pump took a dive or half way did and just starved the bearings....thats just one of those possabilitys you know, nothing you could do but replace it. Good luck, and let me know if you need anything.

Sorry to hear you spun a bearing that sucks Jason. :( :nonono:
Right after you installed your cams too wow.
Hopefully their is no damage done to your block so,
you can rebuild it.Hope you don't have to buy a new
engine that would really be a drag.It can happen to
anyone at anytime. Will you be walking to work and school?

Thanks for the replies guys.

I have no idea how it happened tho.. I am kinda anxious to find out tho. I am now possibly looking at just getting an MMR 600 shortblock and bolting my heads/cams to it since i'll be doing a forged shortblock sooner or later.. might as well do it now instead of spending $1900 on a used motor :(

I'm still driving helt's car. He's the best friend a guy could have. You guys don't understand how thankful of this guy! :)

Oh yeah... Helt.. That vid just brought tears to my eyes :(

thats what you get for hurting the dargon.

Keep your chin up, take out a loan, and get that MMR 600....ante up a few bones for that cobra crank too :nice:

Thanks for the words Helt! I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of your help so far.. you're the greatest!! :)

I won't be making the October trip to Memphis now, unless I ride with somebody. I'm just so scared of driving a car very hard.. I have no desire to beat on a car for a while, even tho that's not what caused my car's demise :(
