I am getting ready to change the fluid in my rear end and tranny. I was wondering if the T-5 uses some type of filter. I checked at the Checker Auto and they could not say if it does or doesnt. All they could say was they didnt have one. The Chilton manual only says something about a tranny filter under auto's, so my guess is there is no filter but i just want to make sure before i get under there and find a filter while my car is down or even worse find out theres one a month down the road and i didnt change it. Also why did they not put a dip stick tube on the T-5s? Thanks for the help.

MT's are really easy to drain fill.

You need a 3/8" socket and that is all. Both plugs are on the pass (?) side. Remove the fill plug first because it'll be useless to drain the fluid if you can't put any back in.

Then pull the drain.

Use a garden hose to fill from the engine bay. No filters needed, just ATF.

Thx, from what ive read in the forums and Chilton it seems to be pretty easy and straight forward. I just wanted to make sure there wasnt a filter. I was pretty sure there wasnt just figured better safe than sorry.
