I'm going to pick up an 88 LX Notch tomorrow with the 2.3L. I'm wanting to put the drivetrain out of my 95 GT in it, and go carbed/sprayed. I know there are guys that have done this, so please let me hear what you ran into. Will the crossmember from my 95 GT work, or will I need one from a fox, etc...
Any help/tips will be appreciated.

Right, I have a complete daily driven SN95. It is to the point where I do not need it as a daily driver anymore, and the pig is too heavy for my budget to get a respectable time out of. I have more ability than funds, so working a notch from the ground up with most of the pieces from my SN95, and putting it on the bottle is looking like a great project right about now. Plus, my 95 has a dirty title from a previous accident, so I would take a loss if I sold it. Might as well use it to bring a clean titled notch back to life.

If anyone wants to give me some opinions on the carb issue, that would be cool too. I think it would be cool to have a 94-95 style intake under the hood of an 88 notch, but not really sure if it's worth all the added weight/work as opposed to ditching all the computers in favor of a 4-barrel :bang: .

one of the biggest thing you will face is running new fuel lines. It doesn't matter if you go carbed or not as the 4 cyl lines are not capatible with any v-8s because of where they cross the tranny hump. (too much heat and wrong side of car) So you would need fuel lines out of a v8 fox to run the efi. Other wise you could run your own lines. Another issue would be to use a different fuel pump. There are articles on here for that. You are setup as for as wheels and brakes go but I am not sure on the suspension as you need to have different spindles I believe. I am not sure if the 97 stuff will work on that. rear should be good. It will be wider than a fox but that won't matter as long as you watch rim and tire size. good luck.
