Well like so many others before I me I am doing the 351W swap into my 88 Notch. I have a pre 76 351W block and a Crown Vic oil pan. The problem is this combination leaves me no provision for a Dipstick!!! The block is not drilled and the timing cover location can't work as it is rear sump!!

I searched here and saw nothing about it. I cannot be the only person to have ever run into this problem???

Non of my Motors have dip sticks. I know how many quarts it needs and as long as you don't burn oil or have leaks your good. Race motor don't have dip sticks. The pressure inside the motor push the dip stick out and start pushing oil out the whole. I had a dip stick on my Falcon and for some reason it broke and got wrapped around the crank and some pieces ended up in the lifter valley. I got lucky and it didn't do any damage. I took the oil pan off and everything looked good.

hey 90 notch we have almost the identical motor set up in your street car and my stang. i had the same cam , intake, but my head are windsor js with stange 3 porting. i duno what pistons or compresstion your running though. im running a t5 with 4.30's. got a diff cam now though that one didnt pull that hard after 5k to me. nice set up though **** load of torque lol. i wish more fox stangs were near me in palm coast or the daytona area

really? whats section is she in . im in the p section. maybe ill see your car around here sometime? yeah that cam quits making power above 5k real fast, i switched to the comp cam magnum 292 duration .518 lift cam and now it pulls like crazy to the rev limit whic is at 6200 and woudl prolly still keep pulling but my bottom end is stock so thats where i shift. that cam was sure torquey though infact im reusing in im the otor im building for my 94 lightning and ill be using 1.7s with it . cam had a decent lope to it just wish it pulled past 5k.
