WRX turbo or not?

as has been said, the impreza RS, TS, etc. is N/A, the WRX is turbo, and the STi is also turbo. they use a bypass recirc valve like most blown stangs do, because they use a draw-thru MAF. some of them have been tuned to utilize an atmospheric BOV, but throwing an atmospheric BOV onto an otherwise stock or stock tuned WRX/sti will make it sputter and run liek crap between shifts when teh BOV opens and the metered air doesnt go into the motor.

normal WRX Turbo is quick... good for low 14's with a decent launch.. my roommate has one and i beat it from a dig and a stop stock and now with mods

WRS STi is faster from a dig than a GT but from a roll its really really close... i raced one from a roll and no one pulled:shrug: we raced 4 times from about 60-65mph to about 120ish and no one pulled

They spool up at about 3500. Theyre decent cars, and I was actually going to buy one instead of my stang, but guess what I bought :). Amazingly their clutch is as hard as ours, but has a short pedal travel distance.

Theyre not that quick, it's their launch that gives them a great ET. I have seen a few rexs going mid to high 13s trapping 97-98 with 1.8 60's :hail2:

i test drove a 2005 stick wrx turbo non sti at a subaru dealer and i did get on it just to see what all this hype was all about..i was not impressed! turbo or not its just another expensive overated ECONOBOX. yeah with the right mods it may be faster but you can make a lawn mower outrun a dragster with enough money, but remember its still a lawn mower....LOL...
