How do you tell a GTS...

I'm confused. I just bought a 95 GT(or GTS) but I'm not sure which. The title says GTS but I have every option inculding leather seats. Is it possible the title is wrong?

BTW, is this a good deal?
95 GT w/54000 miles
Edelbrock intake, 70mm Edlebrock TB, 77mm ProFlow bullet MAF, MAC CAI, MAC headers, MAC high flow cats, MAC catback, Eibach springs, New Bullit rims and tires, Pro5.0 shifter, Alum driveshaft, some unknown lumpy cam, new FMS cluth.

All this for $5300

Thanks,

Rich

well I paid $6200 for my black 95 bone stock GTS that had 46,000 miles.

great subject!!! I have a buddy of mine that didn't know he had a rare mustang till i pointed it out to him two years ago, when he drove me in his GT with V6 seats and no options, a Cobra wing (more than likely aftermarket ordered, he didn't know, he bought it second hand), no fog lamps. It was in crappy shape, he was beating on it before he found out....now it's back to factory shape! :nice:

I highly doubt the GTS will ever be a 'collectable'.

FWIW I have a GTS with no options added.

The reason is that most people don't know what they are. I have a GTS that I bought new in March 1995. It's been the best car I have ever owned! In 11 years I have replaced the mufflers and the battery -- and for the first 7 years it was my daily driver!

I've been scrolling down this thread and I didn't find one certain piece of critical information. That is, GTS' had the option of ordering almost anything that came standard on a GT, EXCEPT ABS brakes. A GTS could not be ordered with ABS, but all GT's came standard with them. As far as the seats, spoiler and fogs go, they could be ordered as optional equipment. So if a V8 car has the V6 seats, right there is a good indication of a GTS, but to make sure, look see if it has ABS brakes.

You'd think these cars would be more valuable because of the fewer numbers that were produced, but from what I've heard, the current value of a GTS versus a GT (assuming same mileage and condition) is actually lower (probably due to there being fewer factory options). This might turn around eventually though. I dunno. Maybe I'm wrong.
